Question about relationships.

As far as I've read, *most?* relationships in the game are same-sex. Specifically, same-sex female relationships. Is there a reason so many relationships same-sex female? I swear all the canon relationships were all created by the same writer.

There’s no canon reason why it’s almost all female+female, it’s just what Bungie’s writers decided to do. There are very few examples of non-lesbian relationships. I’d like if other relationships got more representation, because currently the only males in any kind of relationship are Devrim and Marc. I feel so bad for the Destiny boys being so alone! There’s only one homosexual male couple and two heterosexual couples in all of canon. Ikora broke up with Shun Li, Morgan and David split up and are dead, Shaxx and Mara’s relationship is in question but they aren’t dating, all the Hive dudes with mates are dead, there are no known couples from any other species, Devrim and Marc are the only canon homosexual male couple in all of Destiny. I’m glad Bungie’s trying to represent different types of relationships, but they have such a narrow focus on specifically female relationships. Where’s all the other types of relationships? The Hive are a species that don’t even need males to reproduce, but they still have more canon relationships with males than humans! What’s wrong Bungie, did all the boys in Destiny start dating their guns instead of real people? The closest thing we’ve got is a love triangle between the Shield Brothers and their Primus! lmao
Chubby’s right, the best canon explanation we have is that during the Golden Age and after the Collapse humanity dropped a lot of boundaries and stuff. It’s not a fullproof answer, though, since Bungie’s giving us a large focus on girl couples and ignoring other couples.
