I’ve played this game religiously for the last 4 years just before TTK dropped in D1. I was addicted instantly and went from playing on my sons Xbox to buying my own just so I could play it late into the evening without disturbing my son in his room. I don’t get much time to play but the little I do I always enjoyed and managed to find a few friends along the way. Unfortunately those friends are now long gone and I’ve managed to hold out playing with the meagre drip fed content over the last 12 months. But sad to say I’ve had to put down the controller and walk away, last weekend I hopped on to catch up with one old fellow guardian for a few hours but haven’t played since. This isn’t burnout because I could never play for long enough to reach that point, it’s just boredom plain and simple, this season has literally zero enjoyment and zero reason to pick up a controller and play it. In all honesty I’m just sad because this game at its heart is a golden goose capable of being so much and having infinite possibilities, and yet Bungie seem to miss the mark every single time. The only real change will come when players walk away from this game in significant enough numbers that it impacts Bungies pocket, I’d honestly love to see that happen but I know it never will.
