Yeah but now it costs nothing, and you get what you pay for. Bungie saw the numbers decline. Making a free game changes everthing. There are several examples of success. People who bought silver in the past contributed to it. I hope they all enjoy the lesser game we all have because of them. Enjoy!

 • NOW it costs nothing. Most people are in triple digits having already paid for this game
NOW it costs nothing. Most people are in triple digits having already paid for this game
I don't disagree. I play on a home console for my family members. In total, I've purchased 6 copies of D1 - console shared between 12 consoles (and we rotate 24 profiles depending on who wants to play which game). I originally purchased 6 D2, 4 for Curse of Osiris, down to 1 copy of Forsaken (other family members disliked the game at that point and do not see a reason to return). But now that season passes are account specific, and are not shared - I'm out. Only my youngest son still plays, and occasionally his friend visits and plays on my main console, which is the home for my youngest son. I have never actually paid for my own game, but I've spent over well over $1k on Destiny 1 & 2. I'm glad it's free now. I'm glad enough players players bought silver and helped degrade the experience for themselves and everyone else. I'm glad they are happy with an inferior game instead of wanting Bungie to design a product strong enough to hold its own from sales, and not add-on cosmetics. If people didn't buy silver back in D1, and moreso in D2, Bungie would have had to design a better product that sold well. Unfortunately, whaling is lucrative, and free-to-pay and pay-to-advance models are here for Destiny as well. Just 2000 silver and you can boost right up to 950. Pretty sad. There is only a product because people will buy it. That is not good for the gamer. But if Bungie os making more money with a lesser product, then good for them. I hope everyone does well and all players can enjoy this game.
