To get the most out of D2 you must ALWAYS be doing bounties.
As long as you are doing bounties you may not choose the weapons you want to use.
This game is ALL ABOUT finding and choosing your favourite gear.
Please change bounties to tasks that may be completed with any chosen load out.
I only ever briefly get to use what I want to .
This runs contrary to one of the most driving reasons that I want to play the game.
Please stop constantly prescribing my load out.

Some of the best things in Destiny are the ones that make you change your playstyle. I like being encouraged to try something new. This is part of why people like burns/singes in strikes so much. Maybe you don't exactly love that arc auto rifle in your vault, but dusting it off and giving it a try is kind of fun. Bounties that require you to use specific things help encourage that kind of mindset.
-
This is also why champions require gun mods, so Bungie can manipulate your loadouts.
-
The entire model that they have going is impractical and contradictory in various ways. Great universe/story and combat. Terrible game model.
-
I think the problem isn't that bounties have you use guns outside of your standard loadout, but that these bounties are the primary source of xp. I'm okay with bounties that make me go out of my way to do additional tasks, but activities should be the main source of xp. With all of that said, you can take another approach to bounties. Yesterday, I picked up all the gunsmith, moon, and bunker bounties on a character and went into Garden of Salvation. I did the raid normally without changing ANYTHING for the sake of a bounty. I completed 14 bounties without even thinking about it! Just get into the habit of picking up bounties before you play, it will be free xp for any bounties you do naturally while playing. This isn't a defense of the current bounty farming system, but a way to adapt to the system without feeling overwhelmed with needing to constantly change your loadout.

I always run EP and fry those bounties
-
Shuro Chi checkpoint blast through the bounties in 15 mins tops then proceed with desired load out. However I do echo this with the barrier system. The fact that all the anti barrier weapons are close range except maybe Vow which is a hand cannons still but I can at least tag them from a distance. But now this takes up my exotic I would have liked to save for like Xeno. I hate that the game is like play what you want how you want but not really. Sigh...

Edited by xXlukiedukieXx: 4/1/2020 9:21:31 PMIts so funny how last season they came out and said they wanted xp to be easier to earn without grinding bounties. Then they go make a season entirely about running bounties. This company has the worst user experience game designers in the world. Visuals are amazing but the experience of the world is horrible.
-
Thank god I’m not grinding Dreaming City or Tower bounties anymore. I began to develop a true hatred for those things. I’m mostly ignoring Bunker bounties for now. Sad thing is: about the time I start giving a crap about the current season crud, the season is about to wrap up and it is worthless the next season. 😐
-
I just delete and reroll bounties i dont like.
-
Had to use a void sidearm for anti barrier in the master NF today. Sure was fun.
-
You don’t be need to be doing bounties the whole entire time, you know can have a break and just do the activities you enjoy . It’s your choice 👍
-
After I hit season rank 100, the only bounties I do are the weeklies for bright dust and maybe some activity bounties that don’t require anything besides doing what I’m already doing. For example, gambit usually has a bounty to bank 25 motes. No problem.
-
U don't have todo any bounties I don't other than gunsmith 1s i run alters of sorrow that's decent for leveling
-
That’s what I miss about d1. There were bounties but they weren’t the whole damn game. They helped rank up, but you didn’t need them. And you could do things like the weekly crucible bounty without using a specific loadout most of the time
-
Yeah, I have to agree. I can understand having the do weapon bounties for the Gunsmith but I am so tired of get 40 kinetic/energy grenade launcher kills type bounties which are becoming more and more pervasive in the game.

RANDOM capitalised WORDS

The more expensive, additional bounties from vendors, should be weaponless requirements. The others stay a range of weapon, patrols, elemental, class/subclass powers, etc.. Problem solved.
-
I could see them sticking with bounties like “kill X race” and such, but as far as weapons go, I could see “get x kills with primary weapons/special weapons/power weapons”. There is a power weapon multi kill bounty on the planets I believe. This would be good since the most efficient people will use whatever is most efficient, changing their loadouts, and the less adaptive and flexible people that want to crutch their one archetype can still complete bounties. I think it works in both cases, and the end result is the same. No one is getting there faster or slower due to that change.

Most bounties just require a element, it doesn't restrict what guns I use to much. If I don't have it I can guarantee I have that weapon with a different element on my other characters or vault, or at least a similar gun. -
Agreed. Being forced to play a certain way using specific weapons takes away from the fun of shooting enemies. This season has been probably my least favourite given the AR-overload, HC/Sidearm -unstoppable, and SMG-barrier loadout often used. Yeah swords are better but not so effective in end game. My Sacred Provenance has seen zero use this season in PVE as a result.
-
There isn't a single rewarding game loop left in this game. Bounties are for the seriously addicted.
-
Perfect!!! Bravo!!! I didn't realise that
-
It is all about extending play times and logins. The more useless bounties players do, the more it looks like people are enjoying playing the game. They take these numbers to their shareholders and boom. In that meeting, nobody is discussing your bounties or loadouts lol. Wake up
-
People have been arguing this about bounties and the introduction of champions.
-
You don't have to always do bounties Bounties. And if you are you can pickup only the ones you feel like doing. Example If I'm not using a hand canon that day, I'm not going to pick up hand canon related bounties. Because I don't want to do that
-
Bungie just doesn’t care.
