A day in the life of a hardcore fan that is about to quit the game

I have loved Destiny as my main game since the first beta. Over the years I've played every single expansion, I have every gun, cleared every raid, and spent an unhealthy number of hours at every destination. I have even purchased pretty close to every ornament. In season 9 I felt the fatigue hitting me hard but the promise of trials returning kept me going. Now I'm not a god level PVP player but I consider myself pretty good. In seasons 3 through 8 my KD ranged between 2 and 3 and I have hit legend every season in comp. I have the unbroken title, and it's probably the one I'm most proud of. I've never posted on the forums as I never felt like it was productive as all my concerns were usually voiced elsewhere, but this is different. I'm actually considering just moving on. Let me tell you about my day. I logon and look for friends or clanmates that might want to try a card. I'm a little soured from last weeks hard light spam but I got to 6 wins, so close! Would have had a flawless card if the beaver errors weren't so strong. I find a friend that's down to give a run. I've played with him before and he's pretty good. I find another that hasn't played trials yet but is also fairly good. He has that glimmer of hope and optimism in his voice that I had the first week. We launch a passage of mercy. First round: Within the first 15 seconds both my teamates are down, the hopeful one because he peeked a lane and got sniped. The other because he went for the res inside the lane. He's a hunter, no titan shield which may have sufficed, but he thought his invis would work. No dice. Bad decision making for sure. Second round: They survive for 30 extra seconds. Again the hopeful one is sniped but this time from two top tree sacred dawn snipers floating in unexpected places. I take the opportunity to provide some training. Watch the skies I say. Your radar at that distance won't tell you what their elevation is. Third round: I get sniped first this time. It was an instant snipe from a long lane. I've been sniped a million times in this game I know what it's like to go against a god level sniper. I've played tons of matched against Panduh for gods sake in comp. You want to see god level sniping watch him. This was different. Every one of them hitting nothing but headshots. And now I'm suspicious about an aimbot or wallhack. Which never used to be a thing. Back on battlenet they existed and there were issues but not even close to this extent. What even is this that I have to worry about it in every single game? Fourth round: The hopeful guy gets beavered. And doesn't want to rejoin. So we leave. How's that for a trials experience? One friend never, who again is pretty good at pvp, never wants to try it again. Because of cheaters and server issues. I'm left here after grinding for power and spending months creating my build and finding the perfect gear just pissed off and not any hopeful path forward. My message for bungie is this: I'm a software developer, and while I've never worked on a game as varied or quite the size of Destiny, I know how complicated it is create and manage, to stabilize and deploy. I give you guys massive props for being able to do it at all. It's a gargantuan effort and I appreciate all the effort and love devoted. But this stuff has to be fixed and soon, or even someone like myself who doesn't even really want to play any other games will leave and won't come back. The order of priorities as I see it: 1 - Cheaters. A far more capable anti-cheat system needs to be implemented. I'm not even talking about the blatant ones like the teleporting, the infinite respawners. The ones that are not obvious are of more concern to me because they make even good players suddenly feel like they suck. You can beat an aimbotter at times with superior skill in movement, map awareness, etc. but if that's what this has come to then I'm out. 2 - Connectivity issues and server stability. I can't even count the number of Beaver and Beetle errors I've had. Incredibly frustrating. 3 - Trials. The mode only needs a few tweaks really. A fix to address people farming the first three matches is obvious. That can't be a thing. Re-joining a disconnected team mate needs to be implemented. A solo queue would be awesome. Better matchmaking. 4 - Weapon balancing. I actually think we're in a better spot than ever. A few standouts perhaps but this pales in comparison to the above. There's my rant. Didn't really make me feel better but I hope someone identifies enough to agree or someone at bungie can add it to the clamor I've already seen everyone else. I hope you guys can make some magic
