Watercress / Newt errors

Must be an account issue. I can log into a different account on my Xbox and play fine. Tried my account on two different Xboxes, watercress after character selection screen. All other Xbox services work. Other accounts work. My account is bugged. Please fix! Even tried disabling cross save. No dice. On the rare occasion I can log in, as soon as I go to orbit I get a newt error and the game freezes.

  • I’m having this issue, just started today. Really need it fixed ASAP, it’s not my network every other account on my Xbox works. I have ib bounties and trials tokens to turn in before reset. Please fix my account.

  • Same here, Destiny is virtually unplayable for me, on XB1. Constant Newt or Watercress errors since reset on Tuesday. I haven’t been able to play Iron Banner at all and this evening it took me 4 hours to get 4 lost sectors done due to errors / black screens / freezing with audible tone / game quitting completely / more errors on character selection / black screen and having to quit after every single activity. Please Bungie, sort this soon - this is supposed to be where I go to de-stress!

    • I have the exact same problem that started the same day. (Wraith Ewok) and no one seems to be able to fix it. I thought ports or something. I have reset my entire xbox1 and reloaded Destiny 2 and it didn’t work. All of my other games work including Modern Warfare. This is extremely frustrating.

      Same. And it's exclusive to Xbox for me (everyone I've seen with this issue plays on Xbox). I can still play on my PC. But I didn't re-buy everything on PC, so I only basically have New Light stuff. Which means they don't appear to be looking at fixing it any time soon.

      • This is my response to an earlier post about these same issues, plus an added response. My earlier response; "Same here. I haven't been able to do anything on XB1 since 03/22/20. I'm getting no response from Bungie Help on Twitter so I came here & it looks as though you are all getting the NON response that I'm getting "no response and no support" style. I know they have to work from home and I am completely sympathetic, but they have computers at home...right?!!! Js" I also have cross. I do not play on PC but I do play on both console's i.e. PS4 & XB1. I am having no issues on PS4 which is completely confusing because of the fact that my XB1 is my main and I started on PS4 by bringing my XB1 account over to PS4 with New Light/Cross Save. I don't have as many friends on PS4 as I do after several years on XB1 so I'd rather run my Iron Banner and Trials there but it looks as though I'll be spending my time on PS4 this week or until Bungie gets their account content issue fixed... AGAIN!

      • @Wraith Ewok I think it's mostly effecting New Light/Cross Save players from what I've seen being mentioned or reported and it seems to be XB1 account related only.

        • Me too. Only a problem on my account. If I log in as my son, no problem. I do not have crossplay enabled.
