That sucks. Im in the same boat but for me I got banned due to having my trade macro open for Path of Exile . I had it running on the background while I had Path of Exile on the second monitor and was updating everyting for the new season. Its pretty BS cause my Trade Macro was Legal in Path of exile and it didn't do anything or interfere with D2. Where as hackers and DDOSERs are at large in D2 and I get banned over a legitamit tool for Path of exile.

  • ya I thought so, but as I was reviewing my ban, I was looking at the terms and such on why I got banned. the only other thing I can think of was autohotkey. I saw a Reddit post saying that even if a script for a different game was running in the background itl still flag up and get u banned. https://www.reddit.com/r/DestinyTheGame/comments/7bub86/you_dont_have_to_actually_cheat_to_get_banned/ is that Reddit post. also, the reason why I said i might have been hijacked was that my GTAV account was given to another player without my consent and was sitting in my spam emails in my yahoo. The post was done after finding out about my GTAV account and in a panic and due to stress I thought my Steam was in danger as well due to it prompting me with the login screen after I restarted my PC. I thought " If someone was able to access my GTAV without me knowing it must have happened on my steam" I had GTAV automatically log me in and I had the same for Steam. I dont think I would get unbanned even doe to my eyes I did nothing wrong and was just updating a game on a second monitor and tools which are verified by the game devs on that game to be legitimate . would lead to a ban, I saw that a Bungie community manager reposting a vid showing a hacker on Twitter. a few days ago. Like to me what I did was an innocent mistake of running 2 games at the same time and just updating POE. If anyone here plays POE you would know that Trade macros are a thing and within terms of conditions. but ya Sorry for rambling. It's just really frustrating that my ban was because of an honest mistake.

  • Interesting. You previously claimed that your account was “hijacked” and got banned. Now you admit to having software running that interacts with game files and processes, which is a direct violation of the Terms of Use, but you feel you are innocent despite admitting to breaking the rules. Just because Path Of Exile allows the use of that software, does not mean that it is allowed to run alongside unrelated games.

Ya I thought I had gotten jacked. I never thought that my trade macro which was within the terms of conditions of Path of exile even doe It didn't do anything that would violate the terms or conditions of D2 and was specifically was a macro for text commands such as /join etc. It also doesn't interact with game files it straight uprights text commands. If you know anything about Path of exile and or play Path of Exile you would know that trade macros are within terms of conditions and that there are third-party websites and programs that are used in POE to make the experience better which are mostly tools and websites like vendor engrams.exz here in D2 and even the developer Chris Wilson supports having A Log out macro which is done through TCP connection. I was merely updating the Path of exile and making sure everything worked for the new season. What I didn't know was that ahk alone even not being used for illicit means will get you banned in D2. Whereas people who use aimbots and Ddosers are at large in D2 where for me it was just a tool for a diff game. Now that is absurd. Also, the fact that ints instant account ban is nuts. I know people who use Autohotkey for support purposes due to their disability where they don't have full use of their fingers and need AHK to do things on keypress commands or use VOICE ATTACK for vocal commands. Yes, I am innocent still and as I stated the Trade macro doesn't interfere with any D2 game files what so ever.
