Constantly getting Cabbage error codes

The game is currently unplayable for me through Steam right now. When I load into a new zone, stuff is fine, enemies load, etc. However, the moment I go into a new zone (planetary area/lost sector/fast travel location) the game doesn't load anything. It sometimes shows the nametags above players and the public event banners. Shortly after this, I either get a cabbage error code that sends me to orbit, or the game says that I have networking issues and that It's trying to reconnect me. After 10-15 minutes of this, I will be able to properly play again, but the moment I go to another zone, the same issue happens. I've tried fiddling with ports, activating game mode (which I believe opens all the ports), none of this fixed the issue. My modem is a Technicolor TG784n v3 Please help with this, otherwise Destiny is completly unplayable for me...

  • This is a known issue with all Technicolor brand modems. Those modems co-opt a port for internal use that Destiny uses for its networking. Because the port is unavailable to Destiny you end up getting the Cabbage error. The easiest fix is to replace the modem with a non-Technicolor/Thompson branded modem.
