Why have we been denied access to all earned ornaments but provided access to Eververse items as ornaments
Can someone from Bungie explain why outside of the rehashed ib ornaments are we not allowed to use any of the earned ornaments in the game?
Faction and trials ornaments should be useable for anyone who played at that timed and earned them.

1 ReplyI agree with this......FWC ornaments should be wearable. Was stoked to hear new armor was compatible......guess I didn't read the fine print. Casual player..... honestly my only real -blam!- besides load time, dedicated servers, sparrow horns, invisible hunters, hand held super Nova, shoulder charge, breakneck, lack of beer, and off topic🤣

The reason you'll never receive a response is because they wouldn't make these absurd amounts of money from Eververse if you could earn some ornaments in-game. But outright saying that would be bad PR, even though we all know that's the reason. No community manager who values their job could ever tell you this, and because there is no other answer, you won't get one.

They need to allow em on all armor 2.0 It's simple shit like this that they ignore. But if you want em to listen, you gotta be a streamer with a 100k followers who mutes people for saying common sense in their streams

When bungie broke from activision they decided that they had given away far, far, far too many cosmetics and the like to players. So they decided to that the only way to drive players en mass to Eververse was to find a way to restrict access to the vast libraries of gear players had begun to accumulate. Thus armor 2.0 was born, a way to render most of the player's armor library useless. They then locked away the vast majority of new cosmetics behind eververse. So long story short, they relegated the armor to uselessness to push you towards microtransactions.

JUST GIVE ME MY NEW MONARCHY ORNAMENTS!!! I played those Rallies SPECIFICALLY to run those in Destiny and they were made pointless when Y2 came around. I still wear my Y1 armor but it sucks because the stats can never be like armor 2.0 stats

For the same reason all of destiny 2 vanilla armors is not ornaments. Still wish for weapons 2.0. Where there is basically a bog standard of every weapon type and you can just change its weapon skin.

5 RepliesTruth be told, all armor you get should be added as an "ornament". This system is, pratically, what we had on Diablo 3 with transmogs, only that Bungie decided to throw the "EV seal of approval" on it. There's literally no reason why we shouldn't have all armor as ornaments.

100%. You just had to be there! That's what this game is about ...right? No... It isn't. That is just convenient bungue-talk for when it fits their pitch. Offering up the VOW (Again) just the latest in a long line of bungie slaps to the collective Community's face. Good post, right on target. What we don't have access to- no problems. I'm sure we will earn them yet again or Eververse will sell it back to us at some point.
