Gallant Charge Has the Potential to Be an Amazing PvE Fusion Rifle (my favorite fusion as of late)

Gallant Charge is the newest legendary fusion rifle available to Guardians who use the Sundial. Brought to you by time shenanigans. ...Wish I could review it like I did the Valakadyn, but I have no idea on how to make this sound like a proper infomercial. ---------- Okay, so this one is pretty unique for a legendary fusion rifle. It's a High-Impact Frame just like some of the other well-known ones except this is the only High-Impact, legendary fusion rifle in the game that uses swappable barrels over sights. That has benefits and drawbacks to the weapon. The benefits are that you have more control over the weapon's stability and recoil direction than the other High-Impact fusions. The drawbacks are that it does not have access to the benefits of medium/long-zoom scopes that the popular ones do. So, it's no Erentil FR4, but it does have its own strengths. Including... The perks! For the main perks/traits, in the first slot it can roll with Demolitionist, Auto-Loading Holster, Grave Robber, Hip-Fire Grip and No Distractions. They're not bad options with my favorite being Demolitionist there. But for the second slot, it can roll with Swashbuckler, Multikill Clip, Rangefinder, Tap the Trigger, Rampage or Lead from Gold. There are a lot of goodies in that slot, especially in my opinion Lead from Gold. Let's take a second to talk about the perk, Lead from Gold, since it was recently introduced as well. If you are a fan of perks that grant you extra special ammo, then this perk may fit your needs very nicely. While you have a weapon with this perk equipped, anytime you pick up a heavy ammo brick in PvE, you are also granted extra ammo to that weapon as well. It isn't quite as much as a special ammo brick, but it's pretty close. Basically, the perk almost doubles the amount of special ammo that you'll be picking up over time. Just be sure that you can pick up the heavy brick because nothing will happen if you can't hold any more heavy ammo. And the best part is that it works with extra heavy ammo bricks that generate from Heavy Ammo Finder armor as well and yields the same amount of extra special ammo. That in itself is crazy. You can also find this perk on some of the other special weapons added in the update. Unfortunately, I have found no evidence that suggests that this perk works in PvP. I've tried. Back to the Gallant Charge and its strengths. What parts of it make it stand out from the other High-Impact fusions? Well, allow me to share with you a certain roll I got to drop from the Sundial that no other fusion rifles in the game can currently copy. My roll comes with: Arrowhead Brake (for better recoil direction mostly noticeable on console), Projection Fuse, Demolitionist, Lead from Gold, and a stability masterwork. To put it frankly, this thing is a PvE monster. It's got good recoil direction with range and stability covered. It has Lead from Gold for tons of ammo. It has Demolitionist for tons of grenades and a free reload mechanic. And it's Solar... so the Cabal Centurions better stay away from my stuff. On top of that, most fusion rifles in this game have built-in armor-piercing, so enemies can't hide behind each other. If they do, well... I'm already saving ammo with Lead from Gold, so that's about as bad as being a free kill. And if they do and I kill them all in one burst, then Demolitionist activates more than once, so that's as bad as being a free grenade. Line of Thralls, beware! And I was messing around with this Gallant Charge I have here in the Crucible. It's not half bad. I already somehow 1-bursted a full-health enemy at a slightly absurd range with it. So, if you like fusion rifles, you should definitely not pass on this one. If you upgrade all of your Obelisks and reach a high seasonal rank (around 92 if you want to be optimal), this weapon becomes easily farmable, not limited to but particularly in the Sundial. I really dig this weapon. And Lead from Gold reminds me of the good old Surplus-perk days of Destiny 1.
