Hunter Vanguard; who should it be?

Before we start i want to address a few things regarding this topic: 1)I will be ignoring Cayde's dare. As far as I'm concerned The vanguard have decided that his dare is an unprecedented situation as of the Stolen Intelligence entry; choosing to pin blame of his death on a hive god. The position is now to be debated amongst interested and well-qualified hunters. 2) Uldren Sov (of whatever he has chosen to call himself) will not be included in this list. I believe Uldren to be far to incapable when it comes to the position; and that he wouldn't be let in by consensus vote. 3) Because of what happened when this topic first arose over a year ago, only guardians will be considered. No Hawthorne etc. 4) The process of deciding who it should be, will work as follows; numerous hunters (well and not well known) will be listed, then a short list made on a basis of who among them would be considered based on availability and qualification (according to the Instability entry, which shall be used as a building block as to who is considered for the final vote). ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- So with Forsaken truly over, Season of Dawn in swing and Saint-14 back with us, I wanted to discuss the open vacancy of the Hunter Vanguard. For those who don't know, the Hunter Vanguard is the representative for the group of guardians who call themselves Hunters. They act as a mentor to their class, run strikes with the other reps, and have a leadership role over the scouts. Now unlike the other Vanguard members, the Hunters elect their representative via a dare. For example, Cayde-6 and Andal Brask were elected to their positions on a basis that neither of them truly killed Taniks, the Scarred. But as stated earlier, Cayde's replacement's dare has been put aside and instead a vote of which I can only assume is similar to how the Warlock and Titan Vanguard is chosen, is to be used. Many, many Hunters could probably qualify for this position; a few I'm sure instantly springing to mind. So that is what we shall discuss; Who would most likely be considered, and who among them is most qualified to take Cayde's spot? Firstly, who are the Hunters who should be tested to fill Cayde's spot? - Shiro-4, Hunter scout, friend of the late Cayde-6 and Andal Brask - Marcus Ren, Hunter and SRL champion - Eris Morn, An ex-hunter and representative for Crota's Bane - Himaru Shinobu, A member of the Six Coyotes (as far as i'm aware there is no confirmation of her death anywhere in the lore; someone correct me if i'm wrong) - Nadiya, Another Hunter Scout and a member of the six coyotes - Shin Malphur, Renegade Hunter and Killer of Dredgen Yor - Quantis Rhee, Hunter Scout - Ana Bray, Legendary gunslinger, Envoy to Rasputin - Lady Efrideet, Iron Lady, Pacifist So we have nine known hunters who could be considered to replace Cayde-6 (others definitely exist). But we need to be reasonable here and cut the list down and pinpoint who in the list would be considered as proposed by the Instability lore page. Eris is stationed on the moon, occupied with the Hive and is more loyal to Mara than the City arguably; And i don't think she'd be willing to take up Cayde's spot or even considered. Efrideet, resides in the pacifist colony in the system and we know for a fact she'll only leave on emergencies (like the Red War) and I doubt she'd be contacted for the role. Shin Malphur, I very much doubt he'd do it, on a basis that his track record as Zyre Ersa would be considered, so I believe he'd be dropped from the list. Shinobu, like i said, may or may not be alive, or even considered if she lives. Ana Bray is more concerned about Rasputin and will be opted out of the consideration group. That leaves, Quantis Rhee, Nadiya, Marcus Ren and Shiro-4. Nadiya and Quantis Rhee should probably be dropped from the list based on qualifications. Both are field scouts and considerably good at what they do based on lore of them, and should probably be kept in the field. Marcus Ren, notable hunter, High charisma (which is a quality trait for the hunter class, which would probably make him more liked among the class), Survivor of the Red War and Infamous SLR champion. Shiro-4, Notable Hunter, High ranking scout, Aid to us during the Siva crisis, Creator of the Trespasser sidearm, aided in the creation in the original Outbreak Prime, Close associate of the previous two hunter vanguards and charismatic. If we weigh them up against each other, both pose suitable attributes that would fit them to be a hunter vanguard. Both posses charismatic attributes that make them suitable for leadership. Both are notable enough to be respected among the guardian populous. Both have in the field record to make them worthy of leading the scouts. And both show no known association with any groups that would be heretical (this would effect consideration for the role). However, the entry also states that the parties need to be "interested" in the position. And this is where Shiro-4 would be more likely to take the place of the Hunter Vanguard. He was a very close friend to both Cayde-6 and Andal Brask, the two previous Hunter Vanguards; This could be a possible factor and make feel a need to own up to the task and try to honour his friends, making the position personal. and fulfilling the role. But that's just my analysis of the whole situation. I'd be interested in hearing your thoughts.
