So killing the Undying Mind has made a Darkness future?

Latest Osiris lore grab shows that ya killing the Undying Mind has set all infinite forest futures to one where the Traveler dies and the Pyramid takes its place. Not sure how, but this is apparently what we have to fix.

  • <Well, it's been clear that the Darkness has been watching us. Not just that, but the last time we entered the Garden, it was bait to see how powerful we were. Perhaps this has always been the future, but a more -blam!-ed version simply because the Darkness is upping its game to overpower us. What I'm trying to say is, because we fixed the Undying Mind situation, the Pyramid Armada has upgraded from firebomb to atomic bomb. Instead of just causing another Collapse but leaving some survivors, or causing another Collapse and -blam!-ing everything until only the Vex can be physically capable of surviving it, it is now just straight up going to -blam!- the system entirely.>

      • I think it's because the player killing the undying mind was part of the darkness's plan. Similar to how it let us take the artifact and later wanted us to do the garden of salvation raid to track the signal. The undying mind started to be a problem around the time of the raid.

      • No, it makes a future where the cabal win the red war

        • It's not guaranteed. The Vex can't process para-causality very well. I'm assuming that the Vex planned to use the Undying Mind in some way to combat/outlive the Darkness. They probably couldn't handle the Mind being killed across the multiverse though, so their predictions got skewered immensely.

        • Why does it matter at all though if it's just a simulation in the Forrest?

          • Undying Mind was the true hero of the story holding back the Darkness.
Keep in mind that the fact that the Infinite Forest was not able to predict this until now means it was inconceivable to the Vex that the Undying Mind could be killed.
• The cause seems very flimsy for sure. It is leading to a series of events I saw would happen but never knew when. We were to go back in time to be the one who gave the perfect paradox to saint 14 but I wasn't sure when they would work it in and here we are on that story. Of course he is going to have to go back whence he came at the season end most likely as he will be a man out of time so to speak.
