I just want to say that even tho i'm a top 0.1% player there is a couple leagues of players that are still significantly better.
I know everyone says that Destiny 2 cant be played competitively, but I think that's wrong. If Bungie would take the format the sweat players have already created for destiny, this game could be very close to true competitive game.
We need something to chase
It would be great to have a competitive ladder that resets with seasons, and an in game leader board based on Glory to check your ranking among hundreds of thousands of players
Make another playlist called ranked, or ladder. Don't give it a point Cap like competitive, and make it SBMM. Add a small chance for exclusive emblems, weapon ornaments, armor ornaments, and shader's for every tier. At the seasons end the top 1% of teams get a really cool emblem, and a title that last through the following season.
The leader board could be team-based where you would create a team at the beginning of the season and climb with those players, or the leader board could be based on solo performance. Follow all the rules in place for the tournaments the top 50 players participate in every weekend.
A lot of people already have a blast playing crucible and it hasn't had significant updates since forsaken, We could Que with buddies and watch our progression on the in game leader boards, while earning exclusive gear, ornaments, and shaders.
TLDR: Add a uncapped ranked seasonal ladder in game with exclusive emblems, ornaments, and shaders.
Edit: since people are already accusing me of lying about my stats here's my destiny tracker profile

Mad cos bad

Interesting to see that the post of suggestions from an average player gets upvoted a lot but the posts from top players get down voted to hell lol.
-
Youre 1.6kd in comp. In my opinion quick play doesnt count as anything. So you're top 4%
-
So ladder ranking system and weekend tournaments based off rankings. Ok what’s the big deal? Sounds like a good idea. Even sounds like something that might be some good streamed content. I would check it out.
-
This game already super caters to the top 1% in pve and pvp. Let’s get something for the top 20% and then maybe. I could care less about a leader board or anyone on it. I just want cool armor ornaments and a weapon to chase.
-
Anything with sbmm is not truly ranked

Edited by prawnk1ng: 12/9/2019 6:06:43 PMBungie be running 10hz tick rate servers bro. Nothing competitive about that.
-
As a top 5% player I think such a reward should be attainable for the top 10% rather than the top 2% of players and add something for pve players as well it would be cool to have animated emblems like rocket league. Maybe tie them to the triumph seals would be cool.
-
No I just want trials
-
i think flinch needs to go as well as bloom and in air penalties artifact mods and heavy shouldn't be a pvp thing besides mayhem

Edited by CosmiQ-Toast: 12/9/2019 1:58:04 PMThis is what factions should be. So are u top 1% or top -1 %?
-
Lol top .1 % that’s a lot of Gfuel
-
As long as recluse 2.0 isn’t locked behind the system, I’m all for it. Enjoy this bump

Nice ideas
-
How about we "chase" dedicated servers and the end of P2P connections? It is 2020 ya know.

Edited by HeftyHotDog: 12/8/2019 7:24:09 PM"0.1 percent player." You are on Xbox, I'm going to have to ask you to settle down there Geekermon.

I personally suggested this a long time ago and I'm nothing special in PvP. The Crucible needs some work. PvP players should have something to chase, and the competitive players in the game should have somewhere to go, rather than matching players that are just chilling in QP.

You know damn well they won’t be doing it. They can barely keep up the appetite of the pve community how do you think they can put all this effort into PvP. The game has shifted into making new activities instead of d1’s style of adding gear and weapons to existing activities that were fun and that’s why destiny 1 is better. It had great systems in pve and PvP and all bungie had to do was bring the loot. Idk how they don’t see that. Strikes are still fun. Just make one strike and a bunch of new gear for pve and PvP and everyone will be happy. But to even do all this they will need something like trials weapons and gear most people can obtain with special edition versions of them for reaching the lighthouse. All this depth is non existent in d2 that’s why bungie works harder than ever and delivers more disappointment vs the effort put in. There use to be community buzz every week just because of vendor resets with random rolls on over 40 weapons and armor.

Personally I think stating that he's the top 0.1% does matter. It's not about bragging, it's to say people at the top of the ladder are bored. Comp is a joke and they want an actual competitive system.
-
Yes I agree. There is no reason to play crucible right now. My friends and I were thinking how cool it would be if there was a new variant added to the True glory emblem for every season and you unlock it for hitting max rank. Collecting the variant for every season would be an awesome flex. Little things like that
-
not exactly sure why people think its a bad idea. it gives pvp players a ranked ladder and stuff to grind for. also, with tourney rules crucible plays much much better
-
Soooo....if there is no leaderboards or in game rankings how do we know you are top .01%????
-
Totally agree with you, and I don't know why people accuse you about your stats, do they believe that there is no one better than them? The game needs Overwatch style competitive but it will work only with Dedicated Servers.
-
Most uncompetitive pvp I’ve ever played in my life. Been playing nothing but shooters since halo 2.
-
As someone who plays in the top rank of plenty of other shooters worth playing, no. Destiny is not worth playing competitively and doesn't once provide the groundwork for a balanced match. The game itself runs like garbage and can't handle the load, minus PC. Beating your head against one of the worst PVP modes EVER made (yes, ever. These asshats have Halo 2 and 3 under their belt. This crap is beneath them) does not make one an expert. It just shines a light on a lack of standards.

Crucible in Destiny is not taken seriously at all in competitive gaming, we saw that with how badly Bungies attempt at E-Sports bombed. So I wouldn't be boasting about 0.1% ranking ect.
