Next time make sure you don´t hype what does not deserve hype
The Undying mind, as you may have realized, is a joke. I´m just wondering why Bungie hyped us so much about it.

I didn't follow the hype but was still disappointed by what they did. I should be angry but I'm not, just disappointed.

People still haven't learned that Bungie are masters at marketing. That's one of the things they do right. Now take some of that energy and apply it to the creative end of the game, and we just might have something here.

Then move on and stop obsessing over stupid things and let others who disagree with you have their fun. Some people like baseball, others don't. Some people like chocolate chip cookies, others prefer a different flavor. Get over yourself child.

Where was the hype? It was just on the roadmap. The community hyped it but those who look further knew from day1 that the activity was 750 and there was no loot left undiscovered so we knew there was no hidden exotic or imago loop.

Thing that gets me is DMG or Cozmo asking 'would we have preferred that this not be on the roadmap?' To me, that shows precisely how out of touch they are. Do they even play this game? Only a handful of people are going to realize that the portal is being built to lure out the Undying Mind into the Vex Offensive and that's it. Lore people. Everyone else, which is like 99% of people, will speculate for a month on what will happen with the portal, and what are we going to do, and will the Vex invade the tower, and when we go through the portal where will we go....etc.... And then when there wasnt anything new, everyone said for a moment 'hmm well maybe there's new loot?' And there isnt.

5 RepliesI really wish people would explain where Bungie Hyped the Undying Mind as anything other than a boss change for vex offensives? Did people not pay attention to the story and just started making stuff up? Because the game made really clear it was just a boss change, and actually a good change. People shouldn’t blame Bungie for hype that Bungie didn’t cause.

I'm not slow to criticise Bungie when it's due. However Bungie didn't hype this up. There's been very, very little from Bungie about it at all. I do agree that it could have been a lot better. I do agree that Bungie may well be blamed for Shadowkeep being underwhelming. They can be reasonably blamed for there being too litle content. But for hyping this up ? I just don't see it. What I do see are some people that hyped themselves up. Some had very unrealistic expectations of what the vex portal may lead to and are now bitterly disappointed that their own, personal expectations have not been met. That hype is now being projected onto Bungie amid unreasonable claims that they hyped it up.

What exactly did Bungie 'hype' about it? All we knew was that an addition to Vex Offensive was on the roadmap and Ikora kept saying how we'll need to kill the Undying Mind.

1 ReplyPeople really get hyped over the smallest things. We got basically what i thought we'd get, a different boss. I think people need to temper their expectations for $10 seasons. Why give us something really cool when they are going to remove it in two weeks for the next season?

I was really expecting to something cool with that portal behind Ikorra. Something...anything would have been nice. Instead we get essentially a wall decoration.

How about we set the bar higher for bungie. Make sure that the end game lives up to the hype.

3 RepliesBuilding the portal in the tower and you can’t even use that portal. Then the notification in game says the portal Ikora has built is active and shows the picture of the portal that goes to raid. This was 200iq game design.
