You know I honestly wouldn't have minded the Imago Loop back as a type of Ritual Weapon earned from killing the undying mind.
It was available, it was appropriate and it would have also been beneficial to bungie because HELLOOOOOO? New Ritual means new eververse ornaments! Isn't that what you guys at bungie like? tips on top of your salary?
But instead we get... Jack shit.

That’s a good suggestion for next season. I mean it wouldn’t actually make much sense in this season seeing as there’s only a few weeks left in the season and the undying mind just became available. It would be a good vanguard ritual weapon.

3 RepliesI thought that as well. But after sitting on it, how well would image loop actually fit in? Dragonfly as we now call it isn’t what it was in D1. Than on top of that it’s another hand cannon added to a long list of already good and useable hand cannons. I think more should have been done with this for sure considering they felt it worthy to place on the roadmap, but I think the most they could have done was change the encounters up in the vex offensive activity.

4 RepliesI mean as much as they cut,copy,paste reused assets in this game it doesn't take a rocket scientist to go hmmmmm..... How about we send them through the portal by Ikora run the ol' D1 strike fight the undying mind and get the Imago Loop or, hell even give us an exotic quest line once we complete it for that gun or fate bringer even. That is more Bungie! There Bungie I fixed it for you, for free. It's better than the crap ya'll are actual selling us!

Bungie is too lazy to reskin armor and weapons from D1, and you expect that? The quality of this game should have been evident when the raid armor was a gimmicky reskin of a previous set.

Honestly they should’ve brought bake the strike or something, they hyped it up to be like it’s own dungeon or something.

Guess we're forgetting the many D1 re-skins currently floating around D2 (Luna, NF). A few good HC exist now in D2 that can roll Dragonfly (RpHt/Outlaw) and better. Least Bungie can do is increase the perk pool, so many great D1 perks missing currently from the game e.g. Luck in the Chamber, Tripod, etc. Can't tell you how many trash "Optatives" I've gotten let alone the redundancy of grinding a re-skinned archetype is save for hidden stats like recoil direction and aim assist -_- Don't get me wrong, West of Sunfall was great, but...the leaves. Don't think I'll drop LH or Kindled for it just cause it's changed slots. Maybe...if it had an ornament?

There's already a boring amount of hand cannons in game. There wasn't much content in any of the other seasons, just hand cannons. And people seemed to be happy with that lol

I would have liked a unique reward for the hype and the wait. Otherwise, the final assault is just another Vex Offensive with a different boss. Having it on the roadmap seems like shady marketing to suggest more content than was actual here. Something g feels off about it for sure.

I mean with all its copies about to be destroyed the Undying Mind could then decide it is best to retreat back into the Black Garden with the intent to resurrect the Heart of the Black Garden, just like it was trying to do back when we first destroyed it. It would allow the Imago Loop to return as the strike exclusive weapon and provide the Moon with a second strike alongside the Scarlet Keep.
