Vex everywhere, wheres the stranger?
We haven't heard much from the stranger since vanilla D1, except for some classic destiny ARG shenanigans and a few hints to her identity lodged in sparrow lore. But now that black garden vex are spilling onto the moon, it would be a perfect time for her reemergence.
Her ability to time travel may mean that she already knows the outcome of everything to come, and has decided that showing up on the moon wouldn't actually serve a purpose. But in D1 she seemed to have a vested interest in our guardian, and the vex, so it makes sense she would appear again.
(If there's any lore junkies that actually know what shes up to now, please let me know)

She is 100% Elsie Bray. There is no question about this in the lore community. We have her journal leading up to her going Exo. She was working with Osiris.... I mean this has all been very well summed up.

Bungie said the storyline for her is done; even though it was nowhere near done and left about about 100 questions and about 5 answers. Bungie considers this 20:1 ratio a completed story however.

If they bring her back, they better re-hire Lauren Cohen (Maggie Rhee; The Walking Dead) to voice the Exo Stranger again. It's not the same if another actress takes over her role too :/

Either way my incentive to play since Shadowkeep launched has dwindled to the point of binge watching Trailer Park Boys on Netflix. At least I have many articulate ways of describing the progression of D2 from Vanilla through Forsaken, the Anal Pass (pun intended) and now Shadowkeep. Just apply any of Jim Lahey’s Shitisms, I personally like the one about flowers that look like regular flowers till you get down and poke your nose in them. We’ve got a whole bouquet of💩flowers. Or 💩nami. Or 💩caterpillars growing into 💩moths. Or the 💩rope. Or the 💩titanic. Take your pick, so many 💩metaphors for this turd of a sequel.

4 RepliesEdited by Grays_KS27: 10/18/2019 8:07:48 PMThere are infinite timelines and many copies of the Stranger. Our timeline is a promising one, but she won’t just come to us at the drop of a hat. She’s dealing with all the problems we’ve faced and even more in other timelines. Her hands (the hands that aren’t ripped off and strewn about battlefields) are full and no timeline can be given her full attention. Edit: I notice the debate over who the Stranger is has started up again. She’s most likely Maya Sundaresh or Elsie Bray, but neither is confirmed. Maya Sundaresh’s experiences with the Vex and other such things made her the leading candidate until D2, when Bungie released lore hinting that she was Elsie Bray. I’ve had an idea about this. Remember that the Stranger was communicating with someone? Perhaps Elsie is the Stranger and Maya is the one on the other side of the radio, or maybe it’s just another Stranger on the other end, or a member of Maya’s team (telling by the new Aspect lore, it seems Maya and her team are less likely to be involved with the Stranger). We really don’t know anything, though.
