Paid carries spamming the fireteam finder
So is bungie going to do anything about the amount of people spamming the crucible fireteam finder, with throw away accounts, about paid carries for various pinnacle weapons? Would really like something to be done about it because it makes the fireteam finder a pain to use at higher glory ranks.

The system will always be broken/abused/exploited as long as meaningful/unique/powerful items are locked behind a wall that can be circumvented with "cheating" or actual CHEATING. Everybody should be able to get trials armor/weapons by grinding. Flawless gets ornaments/shaders/emblems, maybe a lowkey extra perk like Last Resort on weapons. Everybody should be able to get pinnacle weapons by grinding. Fabled/Legend gets ornaments/shaders/emblems. Maybe, again, a slightly better version with +5 reload or handling or whatever. WHAT!!!??? THAT'S NOT ENOUGH TO MAKE IT WORTH GRINDING TO LEGEND/GOING FLAWLESS!!!??? Congratulations. You just found that you don't actually want to play competitive Crucible for the sake of actual competition. You just want stuff only because other people don't have it so you can be "special" and/or pubstomp with broken weapons. Look how much time I just saved you with that realization. You're welcome.

That will make boosting much more difficult/unreliable and cowards wont be able to leave when they notice a 4 stack joining. And of course, a game should be automatically cancelled if a player leaves a split second prior to the match starting so a 3v4, 2v4, 1v4 and 0v4 is impossible. Then bungie should lock down all pvp pinnacle weapons from people who boosted their wins and require them to do it legit to regain access. As far as i know bungie only does this to actual cheaters who ddos, not boosters. Then 99% of paid carry posts will disappear.

1 ReplyPaid carries are ridiculous. Never do that. They sometimes charge a lot. Honestly, nothing is worth sweating your balls off in the game. Trials is gone. That sweaty pulse rifle you get in competitive is cool and all, but not worth the money you spent on the carries. Plus even if they're sweaty carries, they're not gods. One thing I've learned is there isn't a best player, there will be always someone better realistically. You might get an even sweatier team against you. That's why when you finally get the thing you've wanted with your skill it's more rewarding because you earned that.

2 RepliesI’m gonna say something that may shock some readers and give you an legit answer to your post Any posts on the forums that gets reported will be reviewed by ninjas. Those paid carries post usually gets removed after it’s reviewed whenever a ninja gets to it How fast do ninjas get to it? They have a list of reported posts that needs reviewing so they have to go thru a shit ton of posts (people need to stop reporting posts that don’t violate the code of conduct, it’s a waste of time). Also, depends on how many ninjas are checking the reported posts on a daily basis. It seems like the amount of active ninjas has died down so it’s usually the same small circle of ninjas who review posts. These guys are hand picked volunteers so it’s up to Bungie to add more to the mix. The problem is that the lfg paid carried posts are automated with throw away accounts so it’s basically hard to keep up with. I don’t think IP banning is a thing on the forums. It’s up to Bungie to figure out a better solution. Keep reporting these posts is the best thing we can do. Sincerely, A future ninja. 😉😋

5 RepliesLFG is nothing. Type just the word "Destiny" on eBay in the video games section. I went there to buy a sticker and every other listing was a carry/recovery. Bungie won't do anything about this scourge. Mainly because [i]they caused it[/i] by doing absolutely everything in their power to make sure matches weren't fair. Regardless of playlist, someone who just picked up the game yesterday may very well face a full team of Unbrokens. If a player could start this game and work on getting better, there would be little need for paid carries/recoveries. But that's not possible if people can't get matched against others near their skill level. Things have causes. The abundance of paid carry/recovery ads in Destiny relative to every other game with a competitive component is due to the absurdly poor matchmaking.

honestly whats the difference in someone recovering your account vs getting 3 good players to play with you that you know or even paying someone to get it for you? honestly the same thing. As long as they have weapons that out shine others in PVP or even a PVE setting people will get it one way or another. Either by doing the grind themselves, Getting help, or paying. its like this in every other game with "must have weapons" . at the end of the day why does it matter? the person still needs to know how to use the gun / skill to use it , if your saying they shouldn't be able to get it, then the gun is a crutch

Huge part of the reason I can't get my weapons. Can't find solid groups to even get a 3 win streak because my stats aren't high enough to get into one. More than half posts are for paid recovs or carries. A couple people that I do know that are good are at mythic or legend and you get matched in that bracket. They're good but not god tier streamer good so whole team needs to be solid. Ask me how that works out. When you do get in a team people often don't play together and throw games doing stupid shit despite me saying stop we have life advantage, play the point don't chase, run around get a res or don't res, etc. So most of my games are against sweats doing carries or recovs below 2100 or potato's that don't understand basics. It's so much fun!

Today I saw a YouTube ad (static image) for a website advertising carries (boosting). All platforms etc.. They must make some money to pay for hosting and advertising. Anyway, disgusting and disappointing.

You could just offer your help in exchange for the fun you'll have along the way, and it'd be totally fine because it's only illegal once you charge for it. Free help isn't against any kind of ToS, as long as everyone stays on their own accounts. Imagine if people were actually nice...

I absolutely hate it. I really want to reach Unbroken to not only get the title, but to be able to buy the seal. Having the seal would mean a lot, as it's somewhat personal for me. But I have no interest in paying anyone to do it for me, as badly as I want it and how awful I stink in the Crucible. I have good days and bad days. Mostly pretty bad, although I have started to improve recently but not a lot. I won't be able to get the seal but in time, I might get the title. I'd much rather earn it more than anything else. And I sure as hell won't pay anyone to get it for me.

First off, never give out your account info. To anyone. Ever. But there are more problems. The posts demanding ridiculous KDs to even have a chance at receiving an invite. Glory point requirements on top of that. (What is wrong with you? Don't you realise that lower glory means less toxic opponents??) I don't care about your KDs, because chances are my 1.23 Competitive KD is going to outplay your 1.50 simply because I'm more intelligent. It happens so often, so much where I'm the one dominating in our team despite others having higher KDs. Shouldn't happen. Not this much at least. The waves and waves of people making posts for you to be "sweaty". Telling you to "be good and teamshoot". Until you check the poster's stats, and realize they are just a 0.79. Where do you get off telling others to be good? Where do you get off joining posts that tell you to be good? Just stop the delusions already. Where do people get off joining posts that they clearly don't meet requirements for? People making posts but then never sending invites to the people who join, even if they do meet your ridiculous requirements? We call that "disruption", and that just happens to be one of the report options on this website. Rest assured I've used it before, and will continue doing so.

2 RepliesJust laugh at them as I do, Bungie has made them so easy that I've gotten them for myself on all three platforms and on my alt. The Mountaintop quest does suck but they're making it easier somehow soon, so I can't imagine that this'll continue. It's not even that difficult to get 2100 anymore. The thing I want Bungie to focus on is the cheaters; the people whom exploit their game's ridiculously weak matchmaking system. You shouldn't have to invest in a VPN, to play a video game and modders should be banned for life.
