What are you doing for loyal players?
I have been part of D2 since day 1. I played the Private Beta and the Open Beta, bought the $99 version of the game (with the expansions), bought Forsaken (also with the expansions); now you're asking for, at least, $60 for your newest expansion.
I get it, employees need to be paid, and equipment is not cheap, and the value of a product decreases with time. I would be fine with this, but there is one more factor. You made the base game and all of year 1 free (New Light), and you can buy everything, including Forsaken, for $39.
I don't remember any exact prices, but we can all agree that I have spent well over $200 on D2 (not including this new expansion coming out).
Catering to new players and repopulating D2 is a great thing, but what are you doing for the players who have been there since day 1; and what are you doing for the players who have paid over $200?
Let me clarify, I am not asking for the expansion (or any content) for free; and I am not asking for any money back.
I'm simply suggesting that, maybe, Bungie can appreciate the veteran players a little more.
After all we went through years of big promises and small realities featuring copy/paste content.
I have gladly opened my wallet, and given my time, to support this game. But what do I have to show for it? Is this new expansion gonna be worth me spending even more money?

1 ReplyYes you did pay for D2 BUT YOU ALSO GOT TO PLAY IT 2 YEARS BEFORE THE FIRST LIGHT PLAYERS. First light was made to get new players into the game and let people see what the game is like

1 ReplyI feel like I've gotten my monies worth with year one of destiny 2. I am not going to hold my hand out demanding free digital content to make me feel better. Vanilla D2 is basically 2 years old now. Do you expect the game to go up in value? Games do not go up in value typically. Do not invest in games for profit. If Bungie gives away all of Destiny 1, I'm not going to cry about getting ripped off because they are giving away a 5 year old game. New light, will help out the Destiny community by bringing in new blood to the game.

2 RepliesThey said at E3 that our reward was getting to play with more players or our friends because they can now play the old stuff for free....thing is most of you will have moved on the the new stuff and your friends will have to buy the new dlc that is IF they even return. So basically nothing has changed.

All those hours you got to play the game that people getting two year content for free will NEVER GET TO HAVE.... ...is what your money bought you. I’ve used my iPhone X for two years, I don’t get to whine and complain that people can now buy this exact phone for less than I paid for it two years ago. My enjoyment using it was worth what I paid. If you getting to play Destiny 2 for two years wasn’t worth it to you, then you need to re-evaluate how you spend your money.
