I Just Got The Recluse As A Solo Player
Honestly, this grind was a terrible one. To be fair, my skill level in pvp has always been a bit above average, but it has been difficult in this meta compared to how it was in Destiny 1. Plus, I recently migrated to PC from PS4, which meant that whatever progress I had gained had to be reobtained. There were very few instances in which I played with a fireteam, and those games were usually sub-par. For instance, I found a fireteam to go through the last stretch of glory points, and then we lost the next three games. And I know that The Recluse is a bit nutty, and it can definitely annoy some people at times (myself included). But I am going to wear this thing like a badge, and a testament to what one young adult can achieve while playing a game in his free time.
Also, I would like to thank my clan, [url=https://www.bungie.net/en/ClanV2/Index?groupId=3732899]Safe Haven[/url], for creating a wonderful space for the hundreds of people within it to interact and collaborate.
And overall, thank you, Bungie, for creating an amazing game and universe for the past five years. No matter what the community at large says, this is a game I will always stick with.

Congrats! I did the same. I actually didn’t have a hard time getting to fabled though. But it made me wanna get the mountaintop, and holy crap is the quest for that thing annoying. I think I may just have to quit grinding it and let the nade launcher kills come naturally. This quest has seriously tilted me to say the least.

I got it last night. Luckily I have some good PVPers in my clan that I convinced to come back and help me. One 8 win streak later and that sweet baby is mine.

My upmost respect to you bro! I was thinking of going for it since I have Luna and Redricks but I got discouraged because I know Bungie will nerf it down the road. I wonder, does Bungie do those nerfs because of their weapon designers gets butthurt because no one else are playing with their design weapons?

Can’t get passes heroic 2. Stuck between 1 and 2. So frustraded. 1 win 2 lose and that over and over. Need a fireteam who can carry me.

I also got the recluse and Luna last night. I did some solo runs, and some runs with clan mates. The grind overall wasnt bad, but it wasnt great. The Luna quest was...interesting to say the least. I like the gun, and its shitty that it's going to get nerfed or whatever, but that's been the case with everything I've got in this game. The recluse is a MONSTER, I love it! If they touch that, I'm done unless next seasons weapon is worth grinding for. Glad you got it as well!

I also got it solo - on PC and both consoles - console was much more difficult and XBone, I had to get a team.

6 RepliesI am on the same boat, managed to reach 2100 a few weeks ago solo, and I swear to God that I reached at least 6 times 1900 points before going on a losing streak, it was frustrating and rage inducing...finally I won 4 games in a row and I got The Recluse.It is totally worth all the pain and suffering.Awesome gun Once I reached Fable I decided to go after Lunes Howl ( I am not a GC guy ) , because why not....playing without the pressure of points, four hour later I also got the gun To sum things up, the guns are absolutely incredible but I won't recommend going solo to anybody, from 0 to 1300 points it's fun and relaxing, but once you enter the realms of 1400-1500 progressing is a nightmare because of the matchmaking, people going AFK and being matched against 4 stacks and people doing recoveries

I got mine solo last week and I gotta say I actually enjoyed it I would also consider myself above average but that does not matter Well done on your accomplishment ,I am pleased to hear that you stuck through it :)

Recluse wasnt that bad of a grind for me. The players below 2200 are pretty bad. The variance is too high ever since they increased the number of points you get from wins.

6 RepliesIt took my clan mate about 100 games. I dont imagine it's actually that hard. Instead of supporting Bungies shitty game mode though, I went through 2 Prestiges in Black Ops 4 in the same amount of time.
