In Game Voice: I can hear others, but my mic not working?

I've tried checking every setting I can think of... My microphone works fine in every other application (including the battle.net settings... If I test voice there it works fine) but in game, even when set to opt in to voice, with and without push to talk, it's not displaying the icon on my tag for having a mic and has been confirmed no one can hear me either regardless of my settings. I'm out of ideas and thought I'd try asking here what the issue may be... The only other thought I can think of is maybe Destiny 2 specifically doesn't like the microphone I use (AT2005 USB) Again, I can hear others no problem, but the game acts like I don't have a microphone plugged in at all. I've tried everything I can think of with no success, so unless there's some hidden settings somewhere, I've no idea what else to try to get my in-game voice working.

Ok, so... as much fun as it is being completely ignored by Bungie support literally any time I've reached out... some kind of response would be appreciated... from my experience it has been the worst customer support I have ever dealt with in my life, and I have played some games and had acceptable responses from developers that are notorious for having poor customer support. I like the work Bungie does, but they are seriously lacking in the customer support department... I can understand that you guys may be understaffed and unable address issues in a timely manner, and that's ok... but to completely ignore a customer who has tried to reach out multiple times not just on your forums, but also via twitter and recently the destiny reddit as well is extremely disheartening and does not inspire much faith. I've been a loyal fan and customer for many years and I'd like to stay as such, but stuff like this is making it difficult. I'm not asking for miracles or refunds, I'm just asking for the issue to be acknowledged and some attempt at a fix... I'm having a minor technical issue with in game communication, and Destiny 2 is literally the only game I have this issue with, and I can't even get as little as a, "Huh... weird, beats me." out of anyone. I want to say that it's frustrating, but the truth is that that is a gross understatement at this point. I want to repeat that I don't expect miracles or even day 1 responses, I can understand being understaffed and/or overworked... but to be completely ignored for years is not ok.

  • Just thought I should add that it works fine in other games in the battle.net launcher specifically (example: Overwatch) which makes it even more confusing why it doesn't in Destiny 2. I just hope someone out there smarter than me is able to figure out the why.
