Reporting a player for sabotage

Hello, Does reporting a player ingame actually do anything? Will this ever get looked into or is it simply a waste of my time? I just had a game of tier 3 Reckoning where a player didn't contribute at all, but was clearly there playing. He danced around and made it clear he was deliberately sabotaging our match. A quick look at his previous games shows that he has been doing the same thing to other players, in other matches. Aside from the ingame report, is there anyway to bring this kind of thing to the attention of the mods for action to be taken, or is this something that can be done to people without any consequences. I'd name and shame so everyone could get a look at his game history, but I think I'll avoid putting myself in the crosshairs of the mods and keep his name off of my post.

  • Hello there. Using your in-game report was the correct way to report this happening, but you can also do it on Bungie.net through your game history, too. Our Report Suspected Cheating article has instructions for how to do that.

    • yes, reports of abuse are reviewed and restrictions/bans do get issued.
