Okay, typically I don't care for these types of posts, but I feel like I'm sitting on a gold mine here so I have to share my thoughts. What's the most useless Warlock exotic and subclass? Easy. Top tree solar. Wings of sacred dawn. Agreed? Good, let's continue. Pretty much, there is zero reason to use top tree solar lock. Not that it's horrendous, but it's outclassed by essentially every single other option. Wings of sacred dawn. They look bad ass. But the perk is mandating you to use top tree solar. Already a strike against it lol. And it's perk is a double edged sword. The heat rises skill from top tree gives a buff to ability regeneration from airborne kills. And it is actually pretty substantial. Combine that with the hold in place of the exotic and we could have something here. BUT. It makes you a stationary target which abandons all cover. Effectively making it garbage. Especially in PvP. But, where the gold lies here, is the icarus dash. Icarus dash is basically a debuffed version of what the twilight garrison gave titans in d1. Any direction airdash. The only problem is the outrageous 6 second cool down. Let's imagine the buff/change I have in mind now. Keep everything it currently has the same, but add a decrease of dash cool down from 6 seconds to 2 seconds. Thats it. Nothing crazy. Not asking to completely negate it, just cut it to 2 seconds. With this, you instantly make top tree solar 100% viable. The ability regen buff will be accessible since you won't be a floating target. If you don't like using that ability, you still get your air dash back quicker. Not spamably quick. But quick enough to consider it over the other trees. I really think this would take possibly the worst exotic and sub class tree in the game to a completely viable position with that one simple change. As a twilight garrison lover from days past, and a true Warlock at heart, please consider this simple adjustment to add an entire facet to the arsenal of daybreakers.
