Grimoire

What I would like to see implemented is the Grimoire in game, set out just like it was in the old app but as a tab in the character screen. I miss using it as tool for choosing my next goal or heading into it to read about a subject I had completed. Or, if that’s too difficult to do can it not be reinserted into the new version of the app?

The grimoire being outside of the game was a bad design and storytelling decision overall. The Lore should have been in the game at launch. Seriously, just look at Bethesda, Bioware, and Blizzard games for how to have lore in the game. Bungie, stop relying on Third Party sources to provide the lore to understand what is going on. I expect that from F2P games. Mass effect had a codex in the game that answered every basic universe question without spoiling. Elder Scrolls and Fallout games have; Books, Journals, and countless NPC interactions to learn lore from. Dragon Age did the same thing. Diablo 3 put in a system where every new enemy encounter updated with a new Lore entry that was narrated so you could listen to it as you played. So you didn't have to stop to read. Even DOOM 2016 had a better lore system, and story is the least important thing about that game. We know that the grimoire was a last minute decision because they cut up the game. Almost all of that stuff was going to be in the game if they had stuck with the 2013 vision of the game. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BTfhrONAp-c

  • Collecting ghosts and reading the cards was one of my favorite things in D1.

I put way too much time into researching lore in the last year or two.

      • I'd like to see the grimoire brought back in this way, the Shadows of Yor part inspired the current look of my Hunter

      • Becuase inserting the cards would make it harder to deny their existence and confused the ever living hell out of people when the comics and story doesn't match up with the cards.
