Bungie, please listen, or at least look at this.

Bungie, while this topic won't solve the big problems, I feel that the removal of voice acting for the characters played by us (the community) seemed to feel like a major let down on what was an already satisfactory position for the voice acting. If I remember correctly, Luke Smith, one of your design leads(?), stated that the removal of the characters being able to speak was because they wanted to allow us, as a player, to be able to put yourself in the perspective of the character you "created," and feel that you are actually in the game. With this sounding nice on Luke's part, it seems to have done nearly nothing. Bungie, you created one of the greatest game series of all time, at least the greatest fps of all time (my opinion), and that was the Halo series. Even in the Halo series, the main character had a voice, and yet it didn't seem to push the player away from thinking that they WERE the Master Chief, and that they were in the game. Even as Noble Six in Halo: Reach, players could feel like they were the character, despite the fact that the character was voiced. Granted, I must state that I can only vouch for myself, but from all of the forums and posts that I have seen about voice acting over the course of Destiny, none of them were hating the voice acting, but instead were negatively reacting to the lack of voice acting after the release of the Dark Below expansion. With the ability to create (roughly) character, based on sex and race, Destiny was providing at the start the basis of creating a character with personality. And in Destiny 2 there were multiple moments were voice acting seemed almost ripper out of the game intentionally; an example being when you ghost was kicked off Ghaul's ship and our guardian simply reached out their hand with NO verbal response whatsoever, which seemed like voice acting missing in this scenario. I know that this sort of decision is ultimately up to you, Bungie, but it simply seems like you chose to not think of community reaction to this at all. If I am wrong in any of this, I would like you, Bungie, to correct me with logical feedback so as to provide better understanding. I simply wish to see an aspect of the game that was great be brought back in future content soon for Destiny 2. For those who wish to comment on this post, please provide constructive and respectful feedback to all in this post, as this post is in no way, shape or form, written to spark anger or massive negative backlash. Bungie, I believe that you will most likely either not see this post, or will not care enough to enough to even read it. However, I have high hopes that you will look at this and respond with good feedback, as I know that communication between developers and the community is important in the development of the Destiny as a universe. Thank you for your time and have a good Christmas.
