I think a 'female' Ghost would be cool. So long as there are no gender politics in its narrative.
An overprotective, yet cynical personality would be a funny combo.

I don't even have a problem with gender politics as long as it is done in a classy way. Commenting on social issues is different from forcing an opinion on the gamer.

In today's environment the safe bet would be to leave it out. Outrage culture is far too rampant, and to the point where it affects profits. Equally sad and scary.
