How to report someone threatening to restrict an account

I was just wondering what I can do to report someone who has threatened to ban my account. The person that did this was in a crucible match and threatened my wife via PS message during the game. Would that be considered impersonating a Bungie employee? How would I go about doing this? Thanks for the help.

Hello Mosvalve, For the record, Bungie will never message you in game. The best thing you can do is block and report users impersonating employees or sending harassing messages. https://www.playstation.com/en-gb/get-help/help-library/my-account/grief-reporting/how-to-file-a-complaint-against-another-playstation-network-user/

    • Do you actually think Bungie would help you if it didn't involve you giving them money...... please Bungie only sees green.

        • Continuation from second post. I took some time looking at your game history as well as the ID which I assume to be your wife's account - after looking at your history, I would suggest seriously checking out your connection because you have some rather peculiar stuff going on. There are a lot of matches that are suspect for lag as well as several where you both end up getting KTO before or during the match. That is usually signs of network instability and understand that the reports from players will eventually triggers the Security Response Team to take a look at your connection. If found that it is unstable and affecting other players in the Crucible, restrictions are a possibly penalty.

Report them on your in game console reporting tool and block them, then move on. EDIT: also if they just said something like, "Enjoy your ban"; I would not consider that a threatening message. I would take that as a warning that something might be up with my network because obviously something was hinky with your internet connection.

            • There's an option in the Bungie menu for reporting threatening behavior and harassment. Since they used the PS messaging system, you may want to alert Sony as well since they used their service to do it.
