Trespasser - New Exotic Sidearm (sucks)
Why do you keep making exotics that suck? Are you not testing the guns before you release them? I've watched a few streamers test the gun and they all agree that this gun isn't worth the trouble.
The damage numbers blow.
You have to be [i]really[/i] close or the dropoff is significant.
Shotgunners are having a field day. Warlocks can double melee trade.
Other sidearms are crapping all over the Trespasser.
Way to go geniuses! You've created another beautiful piece of art that performs like crap in the Crucible.

Yeah your no good than, im a doctrine user and this gun has put many a scowl upon my face. Its a one handed upgraded version of the doctrine im convinced.

You should watch the videos done by Kruzer and Hush. Both show how amazing that gun is. I'm average in crucible and I've been wrecking in the crucible with the trespasser. You always spawn with ammo. You can map people with it. It's one of the most fun weapons Bungie has given us. Also, what "trouble" do you have to go to get it? Turn in an exotic secondary and it's possible you'll get one. No trouble at all. Dingus

I found that the Trespasser worked great for me in PVE. It also has a ton of ammo. I can agree that it's not as good in some of the PVP matches I used it in, but i can't agree that the gun is useless.

1 ReplyI played around with it for a few hours and it's like a mini hawksaw, hit your headshots and it'll drop an opposing guardian very efficiently, get body shots then you better be good at evading or jumping around to get that third burst off. And it's not like the burst makes the gun jump drastically, so hitting you shots isn't that hard to do...

Bungie made it very clear when the Taken King dropped that they didn't want Exotics to be the 'center piece' of a players loadout. So, they started making all exotics suck in PvP and PvE (Mostly PvE. however, there are 1 or 2 gems out there)

I would never use a sidearm in crucible just by preference but on patrol the tresspasser gives me a free treasure map after each kill you find materials and chests. These chests have legendary engrams and exchangeable synths very often. Happy hunting ! <3

What perks are you using? Make sure the stability is maxed and you're opting for recoil control. For a while I thought the gun sucked, but then I switched and it felt so much better.

What in the -blam!- have you been smokin bro, try that shit again and tell me if it still sucks. Its the perfect fit for a sidearm. It melts people from close to medium range, and I rarely have trouble with shotgun rushers now.

You're not meant to run around trying to kill enemies with just the sidearm. You use your Primary initially, but if the enemy gets in close, you switch to your sidearm to finish him/her off. This is why I look for sidearms with quickdraw, for that quick weapon swap. Coupled with a Primary that has single point sling, and you have an awesome weapon combo. This is also where the exotic perk of the Trespasser comes into play. If you kill the first enemy and reload, then realize you've got another one in close range, that longer burst shot helps you get the edge.

If you are used to pushing engagements with a primary weapon, it's just fine. If you shotgun warrior or use your longbow as a primary, yeah. By comparison the TTK sucks. But sidearms are a little more cranial than what appears on the surface
