Now, before anyone decides to rip into me for the title or something along those lines, please hear me out. I apologize as well if this has already been discussed, but it's something that has been on my mind for quite some time now. I've been playing destiny since the beginning and I've always just went in stride with whatever was thrown at me. I, like countless other guardians, have questioned things about the game and it's characters. Who's the stranger? Who was Praedyth, Pahanin, and Kabr? What happened to them? What's the deal with Lord Saladin? etc...etc...etc... So, I wanted to poll, or something like that, for some input. I've been toying around with this idea and I'm thinking it should be something of a consideration. ATRIVM PROPVGNATORVM. It apparently translates to "Court of Champions" which in my opinion is awesome (and would make an even cooler story mode title). I'm, simply put, a lore whore. I love Destiny's lore. Some of the questions that have plagued me, however, have been all about the lives of Ikora, Zavala, Cayde, and Shaxx. Yea, yea, I know; it probably isn't something that is all that important but even still, I wanna know! Mainly because at the start of the game, you are introduced to these characters as "Mentors." Not necessarily Shaxx, but he's a badass so there's that. But why? What did Ikora Rey and Commander Zavala do that earned them the right to be known as mentors? I mean they run the tower for crying out loud. What did Shaxx do during the Battle of Twilight Gap? Don't even get me started on other lore based characters like Ana Bray, Shin Malphur, Dredgen Yor, and so on and so forth. Needless to say, I know that a lot (if not all) of these questions will potentially be answered primarily due to thick researching and theorizing by the community. What I'm looking for though, in this case, isn't strictly lore. I'm looking for lore-based content in the form of a story mode retelling of their lives. I want to see through my own eyes, or my ghost's projections, what happened to these characters that earned them the seats they currently hold in the tower. What are your thoughts and comments on it? Would you like to see a Story Mode of some sort that lets you relive these moments that made them legend?
