Red Spectre vs supercell

I just got the red spectre yesterday and noticed its high impact(Twice that of the supercell). However in crucible it does the same damage as the supercell. Why? Snipers do more damage in crucible the higher the impact. Why not auto rifles? Is this on purpose? Shouldn't they tweak the differences in these autos so that they reflect the stats?

  • Think it's a glitch. Says it's higher impact than what it actually has.

It's just the Spectre, looks to be a bug with the tooltip displaying an incorrect Impact. 'Course, it is a replica. That said with Autos it actually pays to go with the lower Impact. Due to 1.1.1 Higher Impact models may have a higher base Range but the more the RoF the more DPS (basically, do you want to do 25 per-crit at 450 RPM (= 11250 potential DPM) or 20 per-crit at 600 (= 12000 potential DPM)?

  • Maybe the range? Impact does effect every weapon so it must be range.
