Does stacking more mouldering shards = better chances for better bonus loot?
I'm aware that having at least 20 shards will guarantee you a drop of basically anything dropped in the raid (including mouldering shards) when killing Oryx. But my question is, can you stack a lot of them and have a better chance for much better rewards? For example, if I've got 40+ shards would it be better to just spread them between two of my guardians or keep all of them on one guardian? Would I be more likely to earn better rewards by dividing the shards or stacking them all?

1 ReplyYep this is crap, 26 mouldering shards beat oryx got 6 shards back wtf? So I spent 20 to get 6 of those back and a pair of boots? What the worst of it is no loot from other bosses just more shards and then to finally beat oryx and get slapped in the face. This has gotta be fixed.

Edited by FISHERKING: 10/6/2015 9:57:09 PMIt only takes 20 of your shards. And sometimes you still get shafted. I beat oryx with 32 shards in my inventory. Got two more and no gear or weapons. Was left with 14 shards and a lot of bitterness.

Doesn't sound like it, Once you beat Oryx it "cashes in" 20 shards... If you have 26 when you kill him you should have 6 left once he dies...
