A bunch of gaming press pay hundreds of dollars to fly out to Seattle only to be giving extremely vague details without being allowed to play the game or even see the game played. About 90% of the details of the game that were discussed were already known from previous sources. This game has been in development for almost six years, and they can't show us anything else? This is why it seems strange to me that this isn't going to be a next-gen game. If it was coming to current-gen consoles (which Bungie has stated), then wouldn't they want to get the game in the light as soon as possible? With the PS4 announcement coming up in a few days, and the Xbox announcement coming in a few months, gamers are going to start looking to the next generation rather than buying games for current-gen consoles that won't be playable on the new systems.
Don't get me wrong, from the details that have been released, I think it sounds like a really interesting game, and I only expect the best from Bungie, but this marketing stunt seemed to leave a sour taste in a lot of journalist mouths, and I don't blame them at all.

I wish they had done more but I can't say I was disappointed. ]

1. Those people being flown out knew what they were getting; anyone who expected something more didn't listen to Bungie. 2. None of that stuff was confirmed, they were leaks. 3. It is a next-gen game now. 4. They're more than a year out of release, they're definitely going to stagger info drops.

They're tied right now. Xbox720 and PS4 hadn't been announced. PS4 announce gave them the floor to show off a little bit more. More will be shown when next Xbox is announced. after that, I expect nothing less than floodgates being opened.

its not really a reveal its more of a teaser

I completely agree with you, it was a bullshit announcement. Also, it's basically Star Wars. I'm a Trekkie, so I'm losing interest in it to be completely honest.

You have to take into consideration that ALL of that was leaked. They Official concept art was only released because of a leak. WE WOULD HAVE KNOWN NOTHING AND ENJOYED THIS EXPERIENCE MUCH MUCH MORE!

My issue is that most of what they said was already known. We already knew about the idea of the traveler and the remaining parts of the human race. We already knew about the idea of the "always connected" world (which they didn't go into details about at all). We already knew about the idea of running into other players in the battlefield and joining up. Hell, we even already saw almost half the of concept art they showed. I'm excited for the project, but disappointed at how little they showed, especially when it's been in production for so long.

We've been given a lot more info than you would think, it only takes a little reading around to discover and unlock it.
-
Nope not disappointed at all. A lot more information was reveled than I thought there would be, and the stuff that was been talked about and shown has got my imagination running wild.
-
Yeah, and imagine how everyone would be RAGING if we got a 1 minute teaser trailer with fewer actual details than the Vidoc.

You guys didn't want to believe me that on Feb 17 they weren't going to reveal shizz.

They didn't show much, but it got me pretty excited.
