I know it can be tough to remain optimistic for this dlc coming out tomorrow but right now we as a community if we can rally together I think the dlc will be solid no it won’t save the game but it can help it get back on its feet hopefully slowly. Rally as one community and stay positive folks we can do this👌

Positive Bungie will screw it up?

First mission was cool. And that's about it. And they made the portal even more unplayable. This game is done.

How about just being honest with yourself, give that a try. If you like it, you like it. If you don't, you don't. You know being overly positive about stuff that hasn't earned it is a bad thing, right?

7 RepliesI played a couple of hours and I am sick of it already. The campaign is boring. SPOILER ALERTS. First you do steps 1 to 13. A mission, the usual go here and see this person about eight times, then a timed solo mission for some reason. Then more running about visiting people. And I got soft locked in the cantina. But that only gets you to starting the 45 steps of the second part. More running about visiting people. But Part 6 is doing jobs on Mars and Venus. And matchmaking is turned off for those so you have to go use Fire team Finder. Why would you turn matchmaking off ?? .. Why ?? I played two and a half hours and most of what I did was the usual Bungie fare of visiting people and hey, shoot these guys just because. It feels like it was designed to get you to spend as much time in game as they can squeeze out. And most of what you do feels like a tutorial. A boring one. And you have to do all this TWICE more ?? Bore off Bungie.

Idk it doesn’t seem so positive to me.. looks like Star Wars and Borderlands got really ugly baby..

Edited by Maddmunkey: 12/2/2025 6:00:57 PMI am just sooooooooo sick of locked loadouts and 100 mods per activity I really miss when it was more...do this or something like it x amount of times then you get your pinnacle Instead of You will not be elligible for event rewards unless you spend 6 months of sweaty playtime not enjoying your gameplay and not being allowed to try different builds to make the game more fun or different to play because you have to run the optimized and forced loadouts we force in the events requires to level up

I need to remember that it’s just a game. With that being said I’m excited to start back up
-
I agree... I'm quite excited. I hope they populate the portal with more stuff though. We need at least another 6 or more solo ops.
-
Im excited. Got a 12 hour shift to do and im 90% sure by that time any server issues will be out of the way
-
See in Renegades! Hope it’s a blast too!

Yes❤️

May The Force Be With You 🫡🍻

That’s the spirit !

I think you are getting the roles reversed mate. No amount of wellwishing on the players part will do anything other than reward the status quo. Only Bungie can change anything. My expectations remain at all time lows.

Being positive is important... but Bungie's been going downward for years, and this little "up" (if it's like that) won't save the course they plotted in general. I will take a look into it. I bought "Year of Prophecy," but after those six months I'm gone. I've had enough of their ups and downs since 2017. There's this (recent) article on IGN with Tyson Green, and based on his experience of decades with Bungie, I wonder how "crazy" someone has to be to ruin also the little rest of what's left. 'We Don’t Want To Be a Dead Game' – Destiny 2’s Directors on Reassessing the Shooter's Future It's a lot harder to reestablish something than to destroy it. Lots of luck, Bungie; this time you really need more than a lot of it!

Deadass they didnt have time to change anything significant. My hopes are low and with their track record im sure ill still be disappointed. Gotta remember this dlc been baked for a while, with portal in mind. While id like to be surprised, im not counting on it. It'll be more of the same, the invasion endgame loop looks exciting for maybe a week. Everworse will still have all the cosmetics. There will be nasty game breaking bugs. And in about a month anything fun will get nerfed.sound familiar? It should cause its the same cycle every expansions had.

I'm positive when it comes to the new stuff. A bit worried about them not adressing old portal issues though.
