There used to be a playlist of Vanguard operations that you could just play. It was matchmade, the strikes were chosen, and you just played. The matchmade Proving Grounds for Call to Arms was the closest thing we’ve had to “just play”.
Now, I either have to specifically assemble each person through fireteam Finder (which won’t happen), or I have to add a bunch of modifiers to do it solo which is not fun at all. Otherwise I get a bad a grade and it’s a waste of my time.
CAN WE JUST PLAY? What happened to that?
I signed on today and collected my 1% rewards. Then I thought to myself “there’s nothing to do.” And signed off.
How do you expect to bring any players back like this? Make regular matchmade vanguard operations doable and rewarding. Something you can just do now.

I do miss strikes. Don't get me wrong, Fireteam Ops are fine, I enjoy them well enough, but I can miss Strikes, too. If we remove loot Tiers from the equation, I'm not sure I enjoy the current system more than the previous system, maybe that's just me. Strikes were fun, low stakes, just jump in with randos and blast the hell out of anything that moved. I miss the more casual friendly elements of D2; now I'm LL500, trying to play on Ultimate, and getting my butt handed to me on the regular - which would be fine! Were it not for the absence of an alternative. Maybe I'll do some quickplays later. It's not like I need the loot or anything, it would just be fun to jump in like old times.
