I miss simple Vanguard Operations
There used to be a playlist of Vanguard operations that you could just play. It was matchmade, the strikes were chosen, and you just played. The matchmade Proving Grounds for Call to Arms was the closest thing we’ve had to “just play”.
Now, I either have to specifically assemble each person through fireteam Finder (which won’t happen), or I have to add a bunch of modifiers to do it solo which is not fun at all. Otherwise I get a bad a grade and it’s a waste of my time.
CAN WE JUST PLAY? What happened to that?
I signed on today and collected my 1% rewards. Then I thought to myself “there’s nothing to do.” And signed off.
How do you expect to bring any players back like this? Make regular matchmade vanguard operations doable and rewarding. Something you can just do now.

1 ReplyWorld based Vanguard operations already had difficulty modifiers. Launch method from worlds already exists. Launch menu at start already exists. Mod system is the only new element and that can be easily added. As stated in many a post, game exists without Portal. Portal just moves them into a new menu with preselected mods that rotate. It is copied code. The new drop system and light level control within Portal removed consistency for no reason. I would cheer the day this “feature” is removed.
