Happy Content Vautiversary!
For those who celebrate.
Five years ago today we lost The Red War, Curse of Osiris, Warmind, and Forsaken, along with their associated destinations, activities, raids, seasonal content, exotic quests, and new player on-boarding.

its funny that people keeps crying and whinning about this when in reality EVERYTHING asides of the raids (excluding eater of worlds) and one activity were heavily hated and never played. people keeps forgetting that IO, mercury, titan, tangled shore and mars were desolated patrol zones which you rarely would see anyone playing, you could barely find fireteams for the old raids and activities. the red war and curse of osiris were the biggest dumps of the entire franchise with lackluster content, warmind was mid at best with a boringly grindy public event and forsaken relied too much on bounties and the actual missions werent that good. stop wearing those rose tinted glasses and accept that they were mediocre and bungie removing these content wasnt even a big deal, y'all just using them as ammo for your doomposting.

And all those that scream "it's a live service game, they can vault things".... well I'm pretty sure at least half of that was a box product, I had the disk. I physically purchased the planets Io and the water one I can't remember the name of. I want all of that back.

Nothing like visiting Mars, Venus, Mercury, Titan, asteroid belt, and others without the open world components. Parts still exist in vanguard, crucible, dungeons and other locations. The excuse in past for vaulting large areas was to reduce download size. Secondary excuse was to tie it to yearly updates. Not really buying the excuses. Not seeing any benefit by current vaulting and sunset practices.

I like the idea of a vault . Somewhere you can keep something safe, more importantly you can take it later . How are we doing with that last part ?

Just for clarity, seasonal content was removed when the seasons ended back then, & Forsaken's raid, dungeon, exotic quests, & the dreaming city are still in the game.
