Most of the haters, content-creator quitters and cheaters have one thing in common. They all think of Destiny as a means to an end that will help THEM achieve their goals. Don't listen to them or try to dissuade them. Your best bet is to ignore them.
There is nothing that can be done that you aren't doing to make this a great hobby game. You are banning the cheaters and doing your best to stop them. You are trying to appease the haters by making changes and buffing/nerfing troublesome gear. And lastly, you are giving content creators a plethora of secrets and lore to discover and share with their audience. You need not do any more!
The portal is perfect as is. The only thing it needs is MORE ways to do things, and MORE frequent rotations of matchmaking ops. The gear and power grind has felt perfect. I play around 6-7 hours a week, and play a little of everything (but mostly PvP)...and I'm about to be 450 light and a rank 9 guardian.
My drops are plentiful, and I get excited for loot to drop because you NEVER know when you will get a tier higher (for me, a 5)...and that is always exciting. It's also fun to try and use what I've earned to make new builds...which is the true end game. That, and Dresstiny. 😊
Don't change anything....just add more of the old and sprinkle in some new, and you have a great game that many people still enjoy.
There will always be detractors, and you are competing against a lot of different games coming out, but believe me when I say, they will always come back, because NOTHING feels like Destiny.

They lost 95% of their player base they throttled progression they're not making any new content and you're trying to say that these people are haters people are not going to play a game if there's nothing to do in the game in the first place. They increased the power level to 550 but they don't provide us enough content that requires you to be 500 +.. Maybe instead of you trying to name shame people why don't you try to understand the reason people are leaving in the first place it's for good reasons.

The gear and power grind has felt perfect. I checked your profile and you have played 255 hours in the current season, which launched July 15, 79 days ago. 255 hours/79 days = 3.3 hours per day x 7 = 22.5 hours per week. It's not an absurd amount of time, but it is 3x longer than you stated. Either you lied (why???), or you totally underestimate how much time you play this game (more likely).

2 Replies"The game has been in trouble for years. I was a D1 player and quit D2 years ago bc of the crap Bungie kept pulling. Anyone saying that the game isn't in trouble, well they are delusional and need a reality check." https://thegamepost.com/dying-destiny-2-steam-player-count-edge-of-fate/
The portal is perfect as is.

The only thing it needs is MORE ways to do things

and MORE frequent rotations of matchmaking ops.
So it’s not actually perfect as it is then. Because if it was perfect it wouldn’t need MORE of anything. -
2 RepliesA lot of what came in this update lays a good foundation for future improvement. To say it’s perfect is asinine. There’s plenty of room to improve.

There is nothing that can be done that you aren't doing to make this a great hobby game.
This is just false. There's a ton that can be done to make the game better, but it would require the jerks at the top to prioritize doing so over maximizing their profits.
