"Shit, sorry about that."
Nat thought for a moment, though she eventually got off the counter and grabbed the utensils, which she tossed into a drawer. She grabbed a knife from a rack on the countertop and held it towards Rose, holding it by the blade.
"Here, maybe you could bend this?"
English
-
Taking it, she held it for a bit, before placing her hand on the tip of the knife, and pushed down. Normally her hand should go onto the blade, and a trip to an ER was needed, but instead the blade bent backwards on itself, zigzagging until she pressed it against the handle.
-
"Well damn, you turned it into paper."
-
"I can also reshape it into anything, which is why I wear a metal armband now, useful for when I need it." She shrugged, then straightened the blade again, and passed it back.
-
Nat took the blade and tossed it at the wall beside her gently, letting it fall into the rack. She played it off as if it was intentional, but internally she was flipping her shit at such a mundane feat. "Yeah? What kinds of things do you usually end up making?"
-
"Depends on what I can think of, it also means I need more metal for the bigger things I try to make." Rose herself didn't see it as that impressive. Although she would win at any game with knives though.
-
"Right, so I would guess that's enough for, like, a knife?"
Nat gets impressed by mundane shit a lot, just kind of a little quirk.
-
"Its enough for a good sized machete or something similar, yeah."
-
"Ah, cool." Nat was starting to get the feeling that this training session was rather redundant. She could see Rose already had her skills done, so her presence was essentially akin to a fly that buzzed about a person. "Well, I should probably get back to the camp."
-
"We both should, yeah." She let out a sigh, Rose could appreciate Nat for trying, but the bandit did say for the most part she had it down. Just needed to work with bigger items.
-
"And... Sorry for dragging you all the way out here. I know it was kinda stupid, looking back on it." Nat walked towards the windowsill and climbed out, sliding down the fire escape. She started to walk her way back to the campsite.
-
Rose did her best to keep up, jogging once she got down to catch up with Nat. "Hey, its fine! At least you tried, which is far better than what most people would do, literally. Some of the soldiers in my tent watch and laugh at times."
-
Nat stood in place for a moment to let Rose catch up to her, and she resumed walking when she did so. "Why would any solider laugh at someone who is literally bending metal? Are they -blam!-ing dense?"
-
"As dense as steel, yeah. You'd be surprised." She let out a sigh, knowing she couldn't do much about them, not without causing problems in the camp.
-
"What did you do in response to that?"
-
"I can't do anything, it would cause a commotion amongst the ranks and I would probably end up killed or something."
-
"You know I wouldn't let that shit happen. I have some pull with the higher ups."
-
"Well if you did it there's a difference. I can't do much since I'm basically just a grunt."
-
"You're sleeping with a knightess that directly works under the sister of the lead Trayven. I'd say you have some pull over what you can do, right?"
-
"I mean, I can't exactly say I have leverage. Plus I would more say friends with benefits, I'm seeing someone else as well." Rose rubbed the back of her neck then, letting out a weak laugh.
-
"What?" Nat simply inquired. Perhaps she had heard that wrong, maybe it was Rose saying something else wierdly. Nat was curious now.
-
"I'm kind of getting with the sister of one of the Trayven generals..." She kept walking alongside Nat, hoping she wouldn't be angry.
-
"God damn it Rose..." Nat muttered under a faded sigh, her right hand fingers running themselves calmly across her hair. She had a feeling of slight worry running through her - What now? Would Rose tell anybody about the night they spent? Was Natalie now obligated to squeal about it, or did she have a higher calling to her friend? Could she keep quiet? "Alright, we seriously need to work this all out. You're with someone but I'm your friend with benefits, does she know about me?"
-
"Eh, no, I haven't told her yet because last night was the first night of being actual -blam!-buddies." She let out a sigh, knowing Nat was irritated with her.
-
"Shit... Alright, here's how this is going to work. We can't be heard sleeping together, so when we do, it's in my tent with the radio on blast. Otherwise I'm alright with me being a secret, cool?" Nat was starting to mull it over in her mind, and the more she thought about it, the more she started to like the idea. She wasn't happy with Rose for withholding the information that she was in a relationship, but the entire thought of being a secret in someone's life was thrilling enough to keep Natalie cool with it.
-
"I mean, you're a mage. Could probably concoct some spell to muffle any sound leaving the tent, and keep people from entering it." Rose shrugged then, it was a stupid idea, but knowing Nat, she could probably do it.
