And that it was. As Tubbs stabbed through one of the men, the Thirty men in front of Hak were all focused on Tubbs.
Suddenly, Hak saw that the entire city became trapped in a massive blizzard like vortex. This was the cities defence...

Haknir laughed a little bit when the blizzard formed. Now they would be stuck inside with his next plan. He stood in the open and spread his arms, then shouted again. "Dur neh viir!" Purple flames formed out of nowhere and a large dragon came out of them. The dragon had flies buzzing around it and its flesh was green and rotting. Durnehviir surveyed his surroundings before flying up into the air and circling over the city square, preparing to attack.

This made all the guards turn towards the voice that had cried out as well as the dragon. This distracted them from Tubbs, who was hopelessly outnumbered.

Hak looked at the men, still standing with his arms out. "Behind you!" The dragon hovered behind them and his deep grumbling voice could be heard. "Gaaan... Loh Haas!" A purple wave hit some of them and started to slowly drain their stamina and health. Once they were hit, Hak deployed his wrist blade and shot it at one of the guards before beginning to move away.

The blade pierced the man's throat. He grasped his neck as he dropped to the ground and twitched a little before he went limp. The other men who were hit fell to the ground, but just about all of them got up. They were now aware of Hak's presence, and began to fire upon him. Then some people fired on the dragon.

As soon as they shot at the dragon, it started to fly away, making it a harder target to hit. Haknir also went behind cover, drawing his scimitars.

The armed men fired at the dragon still and bullets cut across its scaly hide. Four men approached Haknirs cover, firing upon it in short bursts.

Haknir tackled the first man that came out of cover and put bloodscythe (his right scimitar) around the man's neck. He turned to the others, using he one he caught as a meat shield. He waited while the dragon hovered over again. It shouted a different shout this time. "Diil qoth zaam!" Five portals appeared and bonemen, mistmen, and wrathmen stepped out. They were much weaker enemies, but surrounded their targets and began attacking.

The soldiers immediately turned to the creatures and fired, blasting them away instantly. However one of the men was clawed by a creature and blood spurted from his wound.

Hak killed the soldier he held immediately when they became distracted by the creatures. He used his speed thrusters, dashing into them and slicing left and right at each soldier, practically dancing around with his scimitars.

He cut through them with ease and blood was flung around him like waterworks. However, some of them got shots in on him as they dropped to the ground, which harmed his suits shielding.

Knowing he had shield overcharge, Haknir ignored the shots he took, waiting for his shield to become weaker as he continued slashing at targets.

One of the soldiers seemed more skilled then the rest however. He was easily weaving past Hak's strikes and firing shots at his suit with his desert eagle.

Edited by Haknir: 7/20/2017 1:04:34 AMHak looked at the more skilled soldier and made a split second decision, shooting his grappling hook at the soldier. When it hooked, he yanked downward and towards himself aggressively to pull the soldier closer. He used one scimitar to slice as the soldier got closer.

[spoiler]fix bold plz[/spoiler] The attack was effective in drawing the man close, but he dodged the blade as if his life depended on it. He fired at Hak still, this time in the man's legs. A warning came up on Hak's HUD which stated his shields were at 50%

[spoiler]Fixed[/spoiler] Haknir thought about using the shield overcharge, but ultimately decided to wait longer. He slashed at the man's shooting arm now to disarm him.

The slash finally landed, and the scimtar cut through the man's arm and lopped it off. He screamed as his arm fell off of its place.

Haknir took advantage of the situation and sliced a couple more times at the soldier's body to finish him off.

The soldier fell limp to the ground dead, but that didn't give Hak any time to recover. More men fired on him and his suits shields told him he was at 35% shielding. The men got on their one knee as they fired on him like a firing squad.

Haknir finally used his shield overcharge to power his armor back up. He then shouted a wave of cold air and ice at some of the men while the dragon landed behind the others, attacking them with its jaws and wings.

All electricity in the area seemed to diminish as his suits shields regained their power and he felt bolstered with energy. The dragons strikes were powerful and he cut through two of the chilled men while three of them evaded the beast. More men came by, and suddenly all of the men except the few that were focused on Tubbs fired upon the beast. The bullets crashed into its scales and ripped the beast apart as blood spewed from its hide coming from its face down to its tail.

As it was getting taken down, the dragon shouted one last time. "Gahn loh haas!" The soldiers were once more covered by purple energy that slowly drained their health and stamina. Then as the dragon was killed, it was consumed by more purple fire. Its soul returned to the soul cairn where it wouldn't come back anytime soon. Haknir began attacking the soldiers after they were hit by the drain vitality.

Edited by Inflatablepants: 7/24/2017 1:13:52 AMHe was able to cleave through the four soldiers that were shouted at with ease and they dropped limply to the ground without any chance to stand up against Hak.

After defeating the troops surrounding him, he surveyed the battle around to see what else was going on.

Tubbs had just dispatched the remaining soldiers using his abilities. With that, the square was clear of all hostiles. [spoiler]end of chapter for you[/spoiler]
