He was cut off by a punch to the temple from Roxy, whose knuckle had struck him, causing him to stagger back slightly and lapse into silence. He stared at the ground for a moment, and Roxy sighed, looking over at the necromancer... and stuck up her middle finger up at him.
Evidently, the necromancer having called the villagers 'innocents' had triggered something. Roxy's eyes were filled with rage, and Cael was visibly shaking, barely managing to control himself. However, a few moments later, Cael had calmed, taking a deep breath, and looking back at the necromancer.
He was smiling a smile that did not reach his eyes, his face a mask that depicted politeness. And, he spoke once more, his voice infinitely more stable.
