"Well. You kinda did. You gave me a chance man. Let's be real, we weren't exactly sunshine and Daisy's a year ago. I did some...well I did some pretty sick shit to you."

"Well to be fair I was told I had a bomb in my chest, hearing that will make anybody become submissive. But you already apologized for it, so I'm still confused..."

"Ya well sometimes I think I should really let you know again. Because shit dude. I had you drugged, then told you there was a bomb in your chest, then I had you sacrifice your own damn morals and kill innocent people. Do you know why I did that Zane? For real?" He asked him as he turned to face him.

"I don't know, daddy issues?" He chuckled then uncrossed his arms, and placed them in his pockets. "Just kidding. I hadn't really given it thought but why did you?"

Alex couldn't help but chuckle at Zane's tongue and cheek remark. "No. Well, probably. Guys an asshat. But that's not the point. The point is, that I just wanted to break you Zane. I had no rhyme or reason to do it. I just...wanted to. I was batshit through and through. And the arena fight? God damnit dude..." Alex clearly struggled through this. Zane didn't realize before how heavy these actions weighed on him now.

He walked up to his friend and thumped Alex in his chest, trying to snap him out of it. "Dude relax, it's all in the past. Like a friend of mine once said: You can't dwell on the past, because it'll only drag you down."

"Ya. Know I definitely can relate kid trust me." Alex commented. "It doesn't mean you can't just forget the past though. Otherwise you didn't learn anything from it. Now look where I am? I'm running an organization that can do real good Zane. I believe that, truly I do. And honestly, I don't think I could've gotten here without you. So...thanks. Again."

"No problem man, but I think there's someone else you gotta thank besides me. You know who I'm talking about right?"

"Oh ya. I know." Alex said with smile. He seemed to feel the inside of his jacket for a moment. "And she will be thanked. Trust me. Anyways, we should..." Alex trailed off as he looked out of the window, towards the bridge.

"What, you see some guests that are acting to rowdy? Want me to go and handle it?"

"Worse. Zane. Much worse. Look." Alex said as he pointed towards the bridge.

He walked over next to Alex and looked past the window and onto the bridge. "What the hell...?"

As he looked out, he saw a familiar figure. The man walked across the bridge, a wolf hide cloak around him with baggy pants, boots and a thin shirt. He had a cane in one hand, and pure white hair that had begun to grey. Tywin was here. "Godammit." Alex cursed as he immediately walked towards the bed and grabbed the infinite blade off the wall.

"Alex relax, let me handle this. Tonight is a night of celebration, don't let him ruin this." His dagger formed at his side, and he gripped the handle as his eyes flashed.

"No, Zane. I don't want something to break out right now. We threaten him, get him to leave, then I can call my agents from the Shi Canyon to tail him. Two of em are in town right now. But there's too many people here to spark a damn fight with him."

"How good are your agents though? You really think Tywin won't notice them tailing him?"

"Doesn't matter Zane. We have to try." Alex said as he approached the door to leave. "You ready?"

Zane followed and stood behind Alex, his grip on his dagger unwavering. "Yeah, lead the way."

The two made their way back down the spiral stair case until they reached the door on the bottom. Alex opened the door so the two would be able to walk back into the throne room. The guests still seemed to be enjoying themselves, but more than a few noticed Alex and Zane with their weapons drawn. Alex made his way to the throne, the highest point in the room along with Zane. There, the two saw Tywinn Coldbourne, the father of Alex. He stood at the doorway, and people seemed to clear a way for him. "Hmph! So! This is what you are gunna be reducing my castle to, is that it boy?" Tywinn asked Alex. "I'll do whatever I want with MY home, Tywin." Alex rebutted. He pointed his blade at the gruff looking man. "And right now, I want you to leave. You are surrounded by some of the biggest badasses on Tatakai, you won't win this game." "Oh! Hoho! Is that so? Well I guess-" "ALEX!!!!" Cried a voice from the crowd. Suddenly, a girl, maybe 14 who wore a white dress appeared in front of the crowd and ran at Alex and wrapped her arms around his neck with a hug. Alex held her, and raised an eyebrow as he looked at her. Then, his confusion seemed to mix with surprise, happiness and sadness all at the same time as he said the girls name. "LILLY?!" Alex said with surprise. "Lilly! No! Get back...ugh...." said a man who made his way to the front. As Zane looked at him, the man seemed to closely resemble Alex's own features. Alex looked at him with surprise as Lilly continued to hang onto him. "C-Cain?!" Alex said, once again with surprise. "What's...what?!" Zane then remembered the story Alex had told him at Kaer Scolden. The story of his family. But Cain and Lilly... Those were his siblings....

"Alex what the hell is going on? I thought your siblings were dead?" He glared at Tywin, and began to draw his dagger. "What sick twisted magic did you use you bastard."

"Oh trust me. It's nothing he did." Another voice said. Another man made his way through the crowd, and his hair was white just like the others. He wore a black long suit and had killer orange eyes with dark black Iris's. "FELIX?!" Alex let out. Zane remembered that Felix was the eldest brother of the siblings. "Surprised?" Felix said sarcastically. "Good lord all of you. This has to be the WORST family reunion in existence!" Yet another feminine voice said. A tall, curvaceous woman revealed herself. She too had white hair. "Alex...honey...so good to see you again." "HA! YES. IT IS. THIS IS PRICELESS!" Said a large man who came up from behind her. "Felix...Diana...Faolin...Cain...LILLY?" Alex said. He seemed to be in absolute shock. Zane had never seen him like this before. Lilly kept hanging on to him and looked up at him with a smile. He looked at her, then across the room to his father. Tywin was laughing. Anne made her way to the front and looked at Zane with a worried look, before she looked to Alex. "Tywin?! What did you do?!" Alex repeated for Zane. "My lord you are still so dense." Felix said. "You didn't expect your consequences to not catch up to you, did you?" "Consequences...? What are you talking about?" Alex asked. "What he's talking about...." Tywin said. He pulled something out of his coat. Zane saw what it was immediately. A detonator. "Is this." The old king pressed the button on the device, and suddenly explosions of green gas went off all around the gala. All of the Coldbourne siblings suddenly had some magic field around their heads. Lilly let go of Alex and looked around in confusion. Everyone in the Galla began to drop to the ground like flies. This gas did not kill them, but it made them all incredibly weak and they were as high as kites. Their abilities, skills, all of it. It was all rendered useless as they fell. The gas reached Zane and Alex, and Zane felt it enter his system and he fell to the ground. His vision was blurry, his speech was slurred. As he tried to activate his powers, they wouldn't work. Alex fell to his knees, doozy from the gas. He dropped his blade to the ground from the disorientation. Zane saw other figures in the crowd that remained standing aside from the Coldbourne family as well. But who were they?

He groaned as he struggled to stand, his head pounding from the gas as his dagger vanished from his grasp. "What the hell...."
