The Darkest Solstice Chapter One Once again, another email received from Coldbourne castle. This one however was sent out to many, many people. In fact, it's quite possible everyone even affiliated with the dojo was invited. The email also was not the usual job recruitment, but rather a invitation to join Alex Coldbourne at a Galla(or as described in the email, "A fancy ass party"). The Galla is was being held at Coldbourne Castle, in the Ko-Rudo mountains. All of the guests were expected to be dressed to the nines, which was odd considering who was hosting. But, many people obliged, and made their way to the mountains and Coldbourne castle. The Galla started at 4:00pm, so it was still light out when the guests started to arrive. When they did get to the castle, they walked across the long bridge that stretched across the mountain range and towards the tall and impressive castle. That being said, the castle wasn't intimidating. Rather, it looked warm with its light orange lighting and fashionable walls. The bridge also provided the best view for the village that had been built in this mountain range. The homes looked incredibly cozy with their wooden design, and there were dozens of them that were built all across the mountain sides. Bridges and platforms connected them all and there were railings to ensure no one could accidentally fall. There were also homes built on some of these platforms, which were reinforced with strong steel beams that dig deep into the mountains they were in between. Inside the castle, there were already dozens of guests. Some were familiar faces to dojo members, others were not. That being said, everyone there was incredibly well dressed for the occasion. The throne room had been turned into the destination of the Galla, and there were many different things inside. There were tables that had more food then needed for the occasion, and tables with a variety of what an innocent mind would think is punch. There were also servers, all dressed incredibly well, and probably two dozen heaters stationed around different points of the castle to keep the populace warm. More newcomers came in, and aimed to greet others, or simply wished to attend.
Combined post!(meaning anyone signed up for the plot can reply here). Objective: Talk to people at the party. You can either enter, or already be there, it's your choice!
•
he's invited everyone to the party! So you can be there. I'd recommend talking to people who aren't talking to anyone though. The objective for this chapter is almost done
• As the party roars on through the night, Bjorn leans on a column, a solemn look on his un-masked face. Instead of a formal suit or some other type of clothing for a fancy occasion, he wears the set of armor that has never been seen taken off, nor will hopefully be taken off. To compensate for said appearance, Bjorn has polished his armor to an almost blinding radiance. The light reflects off of his armor in an almost incandescent splendor. Bjorn's gun is not on him, but his sword and it's sheath remain by his side. He looks around the party, seemingly resentful of the other joyful guests. He mumbles to himself, a bit annoyed. "What occasion do these people have to feel so happy? Without reason, at the whim of an invitation, they suddenly are encumbered by joy and merriment. With no reason to celebrate, they shouldn't celebrate in the first place."

 • "Celebration doesn't need a reason to happen. It's mostly an excuse for Terran cultures to get drunk, so I like it," Enforcer Steel had ended up leaning on the other side of the column, probably because Ananke wanted to get a look at Bjorn. The Enforcer himself held two glasses of some kind of alcohol, and he offered one to Bjorn. "Human parties tend to be boring when alcohol isn't there."

 • Sighing, Bjorn takes the glass and swirls it around in the glass. Raising it up to his bearded face, Bjorn gulps down the contents. Shrugging, he responds to the man. "I guess I'm just a bit frustrated is all. No leads, no sources of information, not even a hint to where he could have gone... whatever. No need to drag down another's party. Say, what's your name kind sir?"

 • The party continued, and the man's edgy nature went mostly ignored.
I would say interact with other people for now who I haven't replied to.
• Enforcer Steel had been at the Gala since it began, and had been drinking the more aggressively flavored drinks, and eating the blander food after sneaking near the heaters, to excess. Sighing, he rubbed his forehead as the alcohol began to set in. Ananke the drone crawled across his shoulder, actively scanning everyone it could. Looking at the drone, he shrugged to get its attention. "Remind me to reimburse these guys for drinking to excess. Maybe a few crates of Makream*, or something along the lines of that." The drone chirped in the affirmative, then went back to scanning one of the tapestries. Because every castle has those. "I feel under-dressed Ananke. Should have worn the Royal guard uniform**." The small drone turned to him for a moment, then looked away. Steel went back to eating and drinking, as well as making small talk to whoever he could.
Is not wearing the hat. * A spiced alcohol, similar to vodka with jalapeño pepper juice added. **Several hundred times more ornamental than military dress blues.
• As he was walking around, a man, with brown hair and green eyes was making his was through the party. As he attempted to move past steel, a peculiar thing happened. Though they didn't physically touch, he still felt almost a push as he moved past, which was cold, and almost metallic

 • Haknir entered the premise, dawning his nicest noble's clothes which he had probably stolen or won in a bet. He grabbed a drink and began walking around the castle, looking for people to make conversation with.

 • Ite, standing awkwardly in the off-center of the large room. Having not quite gotten the memo on fancy clothing, he wore his charcoal robes that has been quite moth-bitten at the edges. On his feet were plain loafers, above which were a pair of pants with a faint flame decal near the cuffs, just noticeable on close examination. After just having existed for a while, Ite walked over to a server to search for a drink. Along the way, he glanced at the crowd to check for anyone of note.

 • Out of all the fancy clothe laden guests, one stood out in particular; mostly due to the fact he was a literal giant, standing at around nine feet tall. Instead of the formal wear worn by most of the guests, he donned a freshly polished set of armor that covered all of his body except for his face. Covered in brown hair, a majestic beard flowed down his chest, compensating for the almost militaristic style haircut that shaved away most of what hair was on the top of his dome. Awkwardly walking through the crowd, it was apparent he was trying to avoid bumping into other guests as he walked towards a large pillar, his hand on a large sword sheath kept close by his side.

 • Standing from his poor 4 foot 11, Ite was nearly invisible to the giant of a man; only noticing him when having bumped directly into him. With a loud think, Ite fell over, landing on his back.

 • Jumping as he felt the bump and heard the loud thump, Bjorn looks down, afraid he hurt somebody. Seeing the short man on the ground, he bends downwards towards him offering out an oversized hand to help him up. "Sorry about that, I'm just a bit... overwhelmed by this party. Are you hurt? I didn't mean to bump into you like that."
