[b][i][u]Chapter 2: Beachhead
Arriving at the islands
3:30 PM [/u][/i][/b]
[i]Haknir stood at the front of the ship and looked out, seeing what he had been looking for all this time. A group of islands became noticeable in the distance. The outer islands, which were much smaller and empty, formed a circle around a much larger island. The middle island was blanketed by a dense jungle with a mountain in the center. On the mountain stood a very large structure. The building looked like it was put together with junk, yet it was built up quite high and sturdy with multiple separate wings on the lower parts of it.
They sailed past the smaller islands where a few pirates stayed on straight to the larger islands. Those pirates set off series of symbols that traveled across each piece of land straight to the main island, alerting them of the unknown ship arriving. Haknir looked to the crew.[/i]
"Get ready everyone, they're going to be expecting us."
[i]On the beach of the island, a small group of pirates formed up, awaiting the arrival of the ship. There were 5 of them, all rather tall and bulky and each holding large swords, ready to use them if need be.[/i]

[b]One in the center with a gold necklace replied.[/b] "Yeh. You're on our island, and you aren't supposed to be here. So what is it you're doing here?"

[b]Haknir looked over.[/b] "We're here to plunder their island!" [b]At this, the pirates got very angry, drawing their swords.[/b]

[b]i turn back to the pirates[/b] Well by all means..... [b]i flick both my wrist as my hands twist and morph into larger lifeblood claws[/b] Let's

[b]The pirates surrounded Mulligan, attacking him, and Haknir jumped down to help, slashing at one of them.[/b]

[b]i crouch down and sweep my leg in a full 360* then slamming the ground my right hand as several lifeblood spears jut out form the ground, implying the pirates unfortunate enough to get knocked down[/b]

[b]The spears had a hard time breaking through the pirates' tough skin. Haknir poked at the weakest one, slashing at him the most.[/b]

[b]i stretch out my lifeblood covered arm and grab one of the pirates, throwing him at another, then grabbing a third and forcing him down hard onto one of the remaining lifeblood spears[/b]

[b]The one he forced down was injured as he became impaled. One pirate behind him attacked him, throwing him to the ground.[/b]

That's enough!!! [b]i grab the pirates arm who threw me down and throw him at another, I then raise inches off the ground as I reel back my arms and then clap suddenly, a large white swirling sphere 30 feet in diameter now encasing the small battle, freezing all but Haknir and Mulligan[/b] And to think I was going to be civilized.... [b]i walk over to one of the pirates and push him as my hand glows white, unfreezing him as he falls to the ground[/b] Now I'm going to ask you one time and one time only....why are you still fighting us....and what could possibly be worth enough to challenge two men are considered gods to any ordinary man?..... [spoiler]i figured it was about time to advance the plot[/spoiler]

"This is our home, our domain. There's no reason for you to trudge in here like you own the place! And take it from us, we're protecting you from what lies deeper in the island." [b]They were acting very defensive and territorial.[/b] [spoiler]Sure, why not?[/spoiler]

[b]i lift up the pirate and toss him as my hand glows again, freezing him mid toss, I then unfreeze another as he falls to the ground[/b] So your friend says there treasure here.....what is it and where is it....and I'd like you to keep in mind that inside this bubble I can do basically whatever I want...

[b]The pirate laughed through the pain.[/b] "It's guarded heavily, I can tell you that. You'll never get to it!"

[b]my hand twist and flows into a sharp lifeblood arm-blade as I press the point to his throat[/b] And what or who guards it?.....

"The son... he protects it..." [b]He said the name with a sort of respect. A fear.[/b]

[b]i force the man back into stasis as I unfreeze a third[/b] Who is this man who guards the treasure on this island, and who exactly is he the son of?

"He is the prince of unity. You expect us to know much?! Even we aren't worthy to lay eyes on him."

Of course you aren't... [b]i collapse the bubble (catalyst 4 future reference) as the pirates all fall to the ground[/b] Well you were all very helpful...some more then others.....goodbye [b]my right arm shifts into a large hand as I grab all the pirates in one large swoop, I then turn around, reel back my hand, and throw them into the ocean[/b] They'll be back, but not for long at least...hehe, shall we go find this so called prince?......

"I suppose we could, but we should wait for others before we go into the forest. It's quite dangerous."

"Oh okay then"says talath [i]he was looking over at where pirates he was ready these would be easier the serpent he tangled with earlier[/i]

[b]When they reached the beach, one pirate yelled up at them. [/b] "What are you doing on our island?!"

[i]talath sighs and tries to think of something to say to them but he is at a loss for words at the moment. [/i]

[b]Haknir walked up to talath and whispered.[/b] "We probably will end up fighting them, we don't have much of an excuse to be here." [b]He pulled out his scimitars.[/b]
