Chapter 1: Setting Sail!
12 pm
Docks by Dojoville
The sun was high in the sky and everything was now ready. All the materials for the journey were neatly organized below deck and Haknir was on deck. He sat down in his throne on the top back part of the ship in front of the wheel. He gave the signal to one of Sandello's men, Captain Edward, who dropped the sails, setting them off into the open ocean.
There was a warm breeze, and everything seemed to go well for the rest of the day. People relaxed and went below deck to sleep. The peace would soon end though.
The following day...
Haknir woke up early and went on deck where he saw the sun still low in the sky. They were still on course, but the stronger rocking of the ship worried him a little. There was about weather having any obvious effect on the water, but it still shook noticeably. Haknir peered overboard into the water and saw the shifting of something below. It seemed to blend in with the water and it was rather large. Haknir quickly called for everyone to get up. Along the side of the ship were large crossbows and cannons. Him and the gangsters each loaded them, getting ready for combat.
After a couple of seconds of silent suspense and waiting, the surface of the water shattered with a large, blue serpent swimming out. Its body wrapped around the ship and it hissed at them angrily. Each gangster got on a Cannon or crossbow and began firing. They would need more firepower to take it down though.
Open for those involved. Fight the beast!
He could make out a pattern of movement after a couple seconds, seeing it swim by the same direction next to him each time.
-
*Riley ran out, seeing the beast.* "Well, Nessy seems pissed at us!" She replies, activating her energy whips. She looked for anything...explosive she could throw at the beast, whatever it was.
-
The only explosive thing on deck were small barrels of gunpowder for the cannons. The serpent shot out a string of acid at Riley.
-
She dodged the acid spit, and had sent one of her whips around the monster's neck, hoping to strangle the damn thing half to death.
-
The serpent began to fall back into the water with whip around it, dragging Riley.
-
"CRAAAAAAPP!" She yelled, desperate to try to take the energy whip off the monster, holding on as much as she could.
-
The whip managed to fall off right as the beast fell into the water. It left her right next to the side of the ship. A moment later, it jumped back out, leaping at her.
-
She made a run for the other side of the ship, looking for any form of pistol she could use.
-
A few feet away, one of Sandello's men was shooting a Cannon at the serpent. He saw Riley looking for a gun and threw her his revolver. It was lined with chrome and had Sandello's symbol on it. It had obviously been enchanted for better power.
-
She stared at it. "Well, quite fancy this person must be." She thought, as she fired a shot toward one of beast's eyes.
-
The revolver fired bright yellow rounds that left trails of energy behind them. They did exceptional damage and the serpent fell back a little, spraying a stream of acid at Riley.
-
She once again rolled away, hiding the revolver into one of her pockets. "What the hell is this thing?" She had thought, looking toward where she had put the revolver.
-
Capt. Ed had something similar, but in the form of an smg, shooting streams of bullets. He looked over at Riley. "You keep firing! I'll distract him as long as I can." He ran more into the open with his smg, keeping its eyes on him. His enchantment was definitely weaker than that of the revolver.
-
She nods, pulling the pistol back out, firing a second round toward the serpent's other eye.
-
The serpent anticipated the shot and ducked its head. The bullet still hit, but without blinding the serpent. It moved in closer and shot acid right over Riley.
-
"Oh f***...• she had said, before she once again rolled, this time getting some acid on her hoodie.
-
Edited by Haknir: 3/25/2017 5:01:43 AMThe acid steadily burned and the serpent lingered over her, tracking her. Ed reloaded and then fired again, grabbing its attention while it attacked him.
-
She took off the hoodie, leaving her with just the black shirt. "Hey; I actually liked that hoodie!" She yelled toward the giant weren't firing three co seductive shots toward the serpent (hopefully hitting the other eye.
-
One shot landed close to its other eye. In a panic, the serpent swept the upper part of its body around trying to hit something. It was definitely losing strength.
-
She fired as fast as the pistol could go, blasting whatever parts she hadn't hit yet. "This is for my damn hoodie!" She yells somewhat angrily.
-
I'm going to be nice and assume you reloaded.
The serpent took multiple shots to the face, hissing loudly before falling back into the water. It looked up at Riley, stared for a moment, then swam away, in the same direction the ship was going.
-
Sorry; thought the thing relied on a sole clip (similar to say, the Star Wars and ME1 guns), over a normal gun. Sounded like a steampunk weapon with a sort of refilling clip.
She panted, dropping the weapon on the ship ground. "That...was awesome..."
-
Nope, just a classy revolver
Haknir walked over to her. "Glad you enjoyed it. We'll probably have more problems so keep having fun."
-
"Well...if this is the beginning...then I guess I will. Just...can I keep this thing?" Riley had asked, pointing to her revolver.
Alright.
-
The gangster that gave it to her walked over. "Sure. I'll just use my 1911 I guess. Take good care of it."
