Hello and welcome Guardians! for those who still recognize my name it's been a while, for everyone else, HELLO! i'm AnonPig, i do the lore things.
But today I'm here to ask you that very simple question, there are three Factions in Destiny and they all have their own philosophical stance on how to do things in the Destiny Universe, i align with Dead Orbit myself because i feel it's the most logical answer. Holding on to our planets and our lost Golden Age is a mistake, we can find a better life out there among a different star.
so what does your Faction mean to you? (answers may be read on the corresponding Faction episode of my podcast the Destiny Lore Cast, go check out our episode with Baxter from https://www.ishtar-collective.net linked above!)

Nothing, except that Arach Jalaal is scaring the crap out of me.
-
New monarchy all the way but now I just see it as a far away package that I don't want to pick up
-
Monarchy is love, Monarchy is life.
-
I'm glad you enjoy the lore. I've read some of your other posts and they were good. The factions don't mean much to me because they don't factor into the game at all. You only hear from them once each as you build a new character. It's too bad because they could have factored into the game a lot more. I just don't think Bungie and their staff were creative enough to do it, story wise that is. The game is fun and creative.

FWC Fight or die baby
-
Nothing. Just shit to get different shit.
-
New Monarchy gave me the Comitatus aka the only ship I wanted since I've seen early Taken King preview streams. But since there is no real involvement in my Guardian story... well...

Edited by fangfireskull: 1/11/2017 6:13:08 AMWell im in new monarchy, and their color is red, so communism.
for mother Russia!
-
Nothing cause I never needed one.
-
263 FWC. Kinda meaningless which is sad.
-
Nothing, they've all been looted so i have no more use for those filthy casuals.
-
FWC, I want a good pulse rifle or "fatebringer-scout rifle". That's it, no lore involved at all.
-
FWC. Fight or die. Sounds like the attitude of Guardians to me.
But can we switch colors with NM?
-
FWC. It doesn't matter where we fight, we are going to be fighting for our lives. Prepare for it.
-
I used to be New Monarchy without giving much thought to lore. But after the 2nd straight expansion with trash weapons I switched to FWC.
-
New Monarchy is focused on what is really important. And they're colors are a bonus. Too bad their weapons aren't that good or I wouldn't be switching to FWC after I get the bond.
-
Absolutely nothing.
-
I feel confident in saying people go with who ever looks cooler. Or whatever color scheme they like the most
-
Nothing, as destiny intended.
-
I have very little interest in the lore so I have one character on each faction. I only joined a faction for the rewards but since I have everything that I want, including the exotic class items, I just have one character on each faction so that I can turn in all my extra planet materials that I don't need. To me, they are all meaningless.
-
I'm loyal to my factions on all my characters but I don't know why. They don't explain the importance or have any other quests to explain it (big mistake).
-
Nothing
-
Absolutely nothing
-
FWC for the win. Fight or die, my brothers. Fight or die.
-
in game im going for loot right now, i want me some high RoF high caliber rounds auto rifle, and only monarchy has it. however i think i like fwc the most (lore wise) tima travel and shit y'know, also them being around since the golden age is nice.

new monarchy. I like the idea that I'm being coached by Dexters dad.
