"Look dude, I spent like a day in the medical center after I robbed that guy,"
he said, gesturing to the Vertibird,
"and then I ended up getting kidnapped by a CIA merc, so I really haven't been around as much as you think. There's only so much you see under a blindfold..."
Watcher stood from leaning, and lifted a rock from the ground with his telekinetic gauntlet, simply playing around with it.

'Average'... That's quite funny. If you were average, you wouldn't be here. I mean, is anyone here average? James still had a wide smile on his face and was chuckling slightly.
-
"Yeah, as far as being normal humans without powers goes. I'm average, Rose is average, Clarkson is average, Wolfe is average, and I'd say that Wilson is, but he's basically a sociopath, so that kinda rules him out. He doesn't have powers per se, but he does have some enhancements." Watcher replied. He was pretty average compared to some of the others.
-
Enhancements make you above average. The average person, they don't have a -blam-ing super suit. They don't have powers either. No one here is average James said, still chuckling for whatever reason
-
"They're not super. They're not indestructible, you know. Had to do a lot of work on mine after Wilson tried killing me." He said. "What's so funny?"
-
Nothing is indestructible. Still better than the rags I've got. James took a second to answer the latter question. Also, nothing's really funny per-se, it's just amusing how painfully average you think you are. You're wrong.
-
"Not necessarily. I can't stop time and dodge bullets." He said, a smirk on his lips.
-
Well, I don't know about dodging bullets. That's a bit past my current skill level. But I get what you mean. James also began to smirk
-
"Takes effort and practice." He said, shrugging. "How'd you get the whole time thing? Born with it or..."
-
From what I can tell, yes. There was a time that I had an of man to mentor me. He was blind and basically he told me that I have some special power. He told me how to active them. Then he died. Then I stopped talking for a few years. So yeah, I think it was just a birth thing
-
"Interesting." "Do they have any effects on you if you use them for a while? I know some people basically run themselves to the point of exhaustion using their powers." Watcher sounded to be genuinely interested in James' abilities.
-
Umm... I've really only used them for less then 5 minutes at a time. It's a good question, but one I can't answer. I've been told I'm very dangerous. I don't see it. James could tell how interested Watcher was in his powers. James was as well, at one point.
-
"Well, if what Rose said is true, then yeah, you're probably capable of some catastrophic stuff, dude." He replied. "Time's a really powerful thing to be able to manipulate. Not a lot of people have that ability." Watcher hadn't met anyone else in the Dojo with the abilities to manipulate time, so this was a first.

Rose is pretty smart. I wonder if that old guy had time powers. James got his ever so infamous light in his eyes, showing that he had an idea. I wonder... Could i make immortality possible? James was seriously considering immortality but he then realized that was an evil thought and stowed it away. Nevermind that. Could I slow time for someone else I wonder... that'd be revolutionary in war...
-
"Look, I really don't know what you can do, dude. I'm just glad you're not a psycho and trying to kill anyone." Watcher said, a relieved smile on his face.
-
Says who? James asked jokingly
-
"I'm just not getting the vibe from you. You're too honest to random people like me and Rose, dude." He said, smirking.
-
Mmmmm... Yeah, I guess I'm not a psycho. Not yet at least.
-
"Seeing as you were crying about killing someone, you're not a psycho. Last time I checked, people that are insane don't do that." He replied, shrugging his shoulders.
-
Oh come on, I wasn't crying.
-
"I'm not deaf. I may have trust issues but I know I heard you crying down here." He answered,
-
Ok, fine.... maybe a little bit. But shut up. James replied, laughing a bit
-
"You kidding me? Just because it's normal doesn't mean I'm not gonna make fun of you!" He said through a laugh
-
Id be more scared if you weren't normal honestly. James said, also laughing
-
Edited by Trashcan Jesus: 12/17/2016 2:39:53 AMHe shrugged. "We're all a little messed up. Never met a totally normal person in my life." Despite his smile, there was a sincerity to what he said. Most people he had known, despite their normal exteriors, were often about as far from normal as they could get, they were unique in a good way.
-
Well, that's true. James liked Watcher. He could trust him, they did grow up in similar manners. Considering they were both thieves and sneaks and they were both pretty young, James thought that they could be good friends eventually.
