Revenant continued to pummel Desmond, but Desmond seemed to be able to keep up at this point. Blocking flaming punches and kicks, batting them away with Ka'kari covered limbs. He couldn't land any..but they were at a stalemate. Which wasn't a loss at the current moment. "To think the Black actually made it, I thought surely someone would have use Iures at this point to destroy it. I owe Phantom fifty dollars." [i] Revenant said with a grin. His fighting style was flashy and good looking, a ridiculous amount of fancy spinning and kicks, but wherever there was a gap to attack, fire leapt to his defense, like of their own accord. Desmond kept a plain face, fighting like a demon..which would be enough to kill anyone else, but was barely enough to stay alive against Revenant. His defense was impenetrable.[/i] "Yes, the Black Ka'kari. The one that the Red was modeled after, a cheap copy." [i] He sneered, but his cockiness wasn't as flashy as normal, considering it was clear who had who on the back foot.[/i] ~~~ [i] Eve threw her arms up as the grenade collided with her armor, exploding and sending her flying backwards into a tree. She fell, getting back up and smiling under the mask.[/i] "Yeah, I'm sorry for that. If it's any consolation, you seem like a sweet guy. Tell us where Lance May is, and we can spare you." [i] Banshee yelled, picking up the rifle and folding it downwards and into itself until it was no more than a foot wide and long. Compact and lightweight at its best, which he slung over his back. [/i] "Ghost, I don't have a visual. Bastard smoked up the clearing. I hit him, but that coat is made of something really, really thick and resistant." [i] He reported in. Even future rifles didn't have X-Ray vision.[/i] "Good Banshee. He can be hit. Phantom, you're up." [i] Ghost ordered, where that same low, Gruff chuckle emanated over the comms. [/i] "You got it." "Banshee, Wraith, and Phantom, those sparrows came from his chest. It seems he's able to manifest life forms." [i] Specter came in over the comms, his typical job being analysis and dissection of enemy techniques..which he was performing right now.[/i] ~~~~ Throughout the clearing, no matter the fighting, a loud, thundering noise that sounded like footsteps approached the clearing. While Desmond and Lucien had no clue what it was...it made Eve and Revenant grin under the masks. "Party's here." [i] Revenant said to Desmond, as he collided a fist with Desmond's jaw. [/i]
