"Anne! Behind me! NOW!"
Anne rushed behind the deity as both of them took a knee, Anne using the deity as cover. The deity stabbed his blade into he ground, covering most of his body In a defensive position to block what was coming.

[b]The beams form a sphere around the duo as Zane raises his hand, then closes it. The beams pelt them from every direction possible, and they packed quite a punch. The deity knew he could only hold out for so long before his body failed him.[/b]

"AGH! God damnit!" "Do-AH! Do what we did last time! HIT THEM BACK!" The deity and the Princess began to hit back against the beams, the deity's blade absorbing some of the energy with each strike while Anne quickly swung across them.

[b]He continues to assault them with beams, his own energy starting to waver. [/b]

And so the two kept fighting, swinging at the beams to keep them from harm. The Deities blade began to grow more powerful, but he was awaiting its charge to be complete. Anne kept swinging, he endurance unmatched in such a situation.

[b]He shoots off the last of the beams before falling to the ground, exhausted. [/b]

The deity quickly absorbed the remaining beams as he held Anne up by her hip, who was still exhausted. He held her with his left arm as he pointed his blue glowing blade towards Zane. "Zane...Buddy...you back yet?!"

[b]He gets up, screaming as he claws at the back of his neck again, blood soaking into the coat.[/b]

"Guess not!" "Deity what are you-?!" The massive blue beam of energy launched from the infinite blade, shining brightly and illuminating the area like a star as it hit Zane in the chest, sending him flying back and into the waterfall.

[b]He hits the rock with a sickening crack, and goes limp. Something falls off the back of his neck and skitters over to Anne. [/b]

"AHHH!" Anne quickly stomped at whatever skittered towards her, getting out of the Deities grasp. The deity looked at her surprised. "What the hell is it?!"

[b]The strange bug emits a high volume of twilight energy, and Zane still lies prone, unmoving as blood continues to drip.[/b]

Anne raised her hand to the twilight, since she knew that it couldn't corrupt her even if it tried. The deity quickly walked over to Zane, kneeling down beside him. "Hey! Wake up kid!"

[b]He groans, and coughs up a bit of blood. He weakly speaks, and it's obvious that he is in critical condition.[/b] "Deity.....?"

"Ya. The princess is here too kid!" Anne seems to be touching the twilight given off from the bug still. Intrigued on how it could exist, and possess Zane. She didn't approach him when she turned her head to him. Rather, she was confused.

Anne continued to be skeptical. As the deity looked over at her. "Anne...what's up?" "How did this get here?!" "What are you talking about?" "The bug! The only people I know that can make these things, or control them, are the three sorcerers! And they are gone!" Previously, a similar bug had taken over the mind of a Big foot. Tubbs had resolved the issue prior, saving the beast.

[b]The bug gave of the presence of a familiar man, the same man they fought to purge Zane.[/b]

"Anne! Remember when we were in his head before?! Don't tell me you didn't get that same feel fighting him here!" Anne crossed her arms pensively. Making her way towards the two men. "He could control twilight...I suppose. *sigh* We have to get him to the clinic, now!" "Sounds good to me girl." The deity looked down at Zane. "Can you walk?" The deity realized it was a stupid question, looking down at him. "Errrr. Nevermind. Come on, let me help you here kid."

[b]He chuckles, then starts coughing violently.[/b] "Yeah....I'm only in immense pain...." [b]He throws his arm around deity, putting his weight on him.[/b]

"Ya? Can't handle me kicking your ass?" The deity lifted him up, and Anne quickly went around on the other side of him to help.

[b]He throws his other arm around Anne, and limps as they walk to the infirmly.[/b] "Oh....? Feeling tough that you beat me when I was possessed?"

"Hey well your normal form ain't doing that shit anymore! So ya! Feeling pretty awesome!" "Really? Because it looked like you were getting served on a silver platter when I got here..."

[b]He chuckles again.[/b] "So what's with the overcoat? Looks like back when I was In Between realms."

"Needed a new look! Couldn't roll with the tunic forever!" "Ya....it kinda looked ridiculous." "Hey! These legs sure didn't! POW!"

"Hey guys? Do me a favor and never change. Also don't tell Mira about this cause it'll worry her."
