- Claims its constructive feedback and not attention-seeking - Proceeds to use the word desticle Sorry, chief. Lost all credibility right there. Go play whatever game you want, let us know when you clocked as many hours in any other game and don't feel the same way. Besides, if you don't want to do Trials and aren't super in to the raid, there's really no point to getting to 400 light, it has no significant benefit anywhere else. Makes a puny difference in IB but you can probably get a crapton of drops there when it comes back.

In regards to not wanting to do trials ALL THE TIME- I don't- I love it- just that I personally don't wanna sweat that hard on the weekends. I'll go maybe 4-5 cards but after that I'm usually done. As for Max light- I hit max light before 335 was easy for me- when 385 was max it was very easy for me- now all of a sudden it's a crazy grind just cause they don't want us to burn through content. If what you say is the case, then crucible drops should be capped at 390. Exotics should be capped at 390. (Both are in the same ballgame as faction rewards) I want max light because I have a conpletionist mindset. It's nice seeing a solid number up there- and it would encourage me to raid more as when I was 335 I raided Oryx quite a bit and enjoyed it for the fact it felt so challenging. When I hit 385 trials became more inviting. I see no reason why not to hit max light. And seriously? I paid for this game just as much as you and deserve just as much of a chance to hit max light doing the content j enjoy. Patrols, Strikes, and Crucible.

  • Ok, that's something to work with. Here's the thing though. You have to find a balance, right? 400, as you say, is a completionist goal. Why should you be able to easily reach a completionist goal 5 weeks in? You can't just give everything away because then it's not rewarding/challenging, and you can't make it super punishing because everyone would quit. To cap everything at 390 would get us back to "forever 29" again and nobody wants that. But on the other side I do tend to agree with you that regular crucible drops going to max light is a bit much, particularly since the drop rate is actually quite good now. Faction packages are really easy to get, honestly, and drop everything except artifacts so that would be an extremely easy way to get to max light, theoretically without ever having to leave patrol, and that's just silly. But there does need to be some other ways to get there, and weekly bounties and exotics are a decent compromise. It's so difficult to level up exotics relative to other items that to never have them drop at max light would be incredibly frustrating.
