"Oh, that's neat-looking."
JJ raises his cannon, and fires a charged shot of kinetic energy. He then starts strafing and firing upon the samurai, although his movement is rather slow thanks to his large armor.

[b]Tesuto could hardly dodge pure kinetic energy, and was sent back by the speed and heat of the shot and flown into the cherry blossom courtyard. He quickly slides behind the wall, putting it in between him and his foe.[/b]

Unable to get to Tesuto through the wall with just his basic beam, JJ takes a knee. A small rocket launcher then extends from a compartment in his left shoulder, loaded with four small missiles, and one large missile with a green warhead. He fires one of the small missiles at the wall, attempting to blow it open.

[b]The strong dojo wall holds from the attack as the explosions go off across it. As soon as the dust settles, Tesuto quickly brings his arm from the cover, and a small electric beam fires towards JJ.[/b]

"Gah!" JJ's unable to dodge the electricity, taking the brunt of the attack with his chest piece. He then falls back, and hides behind a cherry blossom. "Electricity, huh? Two can play at that game! Thank Luis for this little modification, if you know who he was!" Vernon then switches to his electricity-based beam, and then activates the Tesla Cannon modification. He then steps out from behind the tree, unleashing a small bolt of electricity upon Tesuto.

[b]Tesuto took this opportunity and jumped out of his cover, swinging both his blades at the shot of electricity. The energy flowed around Tesuto's blades and entered them, fuelling its power.[/b] "Of course I know who the Phoenix was!"

"Oh, damn it." Vernon disregards Tesuto's statement on Luis, instead trying to adjust his battle strategy to accommodate this ability. He swaps his cannon to the plasma function, and then activates the shotgun modification. He then proceeds closer to Tesuto, letting a barrage of superheated plasma fly from his cannon.

[b]Tesuoto begins to run towards his foe, cutting at the spray of plasma with his blades. Suddenly, the blades absorb the energy and the electricity disperses, replaced with plasma. This doesn't help the fact that Tesuto just rushed a shotgun, and is now sent flying back by the spray.[/b]

Edited by jj1042: 10/16/2016 7:04:05 AMJJ quickly takes advantage of Tesuto's current position, and fires two small rockets without assuming a steadying position. They may be somewhat inaccurate thanks to the fashion in which they were fired, but they still can be devastating at the close range they found themselves in. Because JJ had fired them in such a way, his torso had to contort in order to accommodate the force, as well as taking a few steps back after firing. It'll take a couple of seconds for him to accurately fire his shotgun again.

[b]Tesuot quickly lunged up off the ground, using only his back to spring up. He began to sprint away from his location, the rockets landing behind him... But he planned for this. He jumped up, and the force from the explosions pushed him and sent him flying towards JJ, the man in which Tesuto began to descend upon with both of his shining plasma infused katanas.[/b]

Reacting as fast as he possibly can, JJ simultaneously reaches for his sword, having his cannon change back into a hand. As soon as he can grab it, he wraps four of his fingers around around the hilt, and smashes a hard to see button on the sheath with his thumb. A small explosion can be heard, and JJ's sword flies out of his sheathe faster than any man could draw. He smashes his sword into both of Tesuto's, attempting to hold them back. The alloy of the sword surprisingly holds, but JJ is forced to step back, and slightly bend his knees from the sheer force exerted. If it wasn't for his suit, he would've fallen to his knees.

[b]Sparks flew from the colliding blades, as Tesuto began to push down on the man with both his blades, the plasma heating up his combatants sword.[/b]

"Not today!" JJ uses his suit to push back upwards, clashing with Tesuto's blades. He then delivers a blow to Tesuto's stomach. He then uses his left hand to grab Tesuto's throat, and he uses the suit to heave Tesuto off of the ground. While choking Tesuto, he then begins to charge forward, activating the boosters on his back to obtain a shocking amount of speed. He then makes a mad dash for the nearest wall made out of stone, but he neglects Tesuto's arms, leaving them free.

[b]Tesuto grabbed his blade, and slashed it into the man's shoulder. It absorbs all of the electricity in his suit, making it powerless.[/b]

Unable to hold the suit, and Tesuto, JJ falls over, right on top of Tesuto. The two men tumble for a little ways, with pieces of JJ's armor flying off as he they roll. When they come to a stop, the rest of the suit falls into pieces on top of Tesuto, freeing JJ. He gets up, stumbling a little bit, backing away. He then begins to stretch and nurse his joints and head, as getting thrown around inside the suit wasn't exactly pleasant. "The suit's built with a failsafe where the suit must have energy in order to power all of the locks that hold the suit in place. Without power, the locks disengage, and the suit falls away. But hell, that one -blam!-ing hurt..." JJ then grabs his sword from a little ways back, since he dropped it, and draws a shield that was hidden under the armor. It's also apparent that a bow and quiver was hidden under the thick armor plating. All that JJ has in the way of armor now is a T-shirt and some pants. But now, he can move quite a bit faster. He assumes a battle stance, if a little weakened thanks to the fall, waiting for Tesuto to dig himself out.

"Oof! This is...not an ideal situation." [b]Tesuto tosses the armour to the side after a few seconds of tossing around. He stands up quickly, but dizzy from the fall.[/b] "Ah. An archer? I really shouldn't in my current state but..." [b]Tesuto sheathes his blades, and raises his hand forward. A small stick ejects into his hand, and it begins to unfold into a Mongolian Recurve bow. He holds it in his left hand, and three arrows pop out of his right vambrace. He nocks one, and readies.[/b]

"Are you kidding me!? You literally have tricks up your sleeve!" JJ sets his gear down for a moment, and grabs his bow. He then takes three arrows from his quiver, and nocks them. He then holds his bow horizontally, and fires.

[b]With three arrows shooting at the same time, Tesuto quickly fires an arrow off, his bow made for speed. But, he is still dizzy, and the arrow lands by JJ's feet before one of his arrows hits Tesuto in his chest, making its way through his armour but hardly breaking skin. The other two fly past him as he nocks another arrow, his sight cleared.[/b]

JJ backs away from, and to the right of, the arrow. He reaches for another arrow, but this one's separated from the others. Its shaft is a sickly purple color, and its head is dripping some sort of vile, almost spectral substance of the same color. He nocks, aims for center mass, and fires.

[b]Tesuto releases his arrow from his bow just as JJ does, and it flies towards it mid air, and splits through his foes arrow, but also getting destroyed in the process. Tesuto stops for a moment, to let his opponent realize what just happened.[/b]

"..." JJ stays still for a moment, but not out of awe. Rather, he's trying to keep his aggravation in check. He can only carry a few of those special arrows at a time, given their properties. "-blam!- it, let's dance." JJ picks his sword and shield back up, puts his bow away, and then charges at Tesuto, shield up and at the ready to deflect incoming projectiles.

[b]Tesuto nocks an arrow, aims, fires. Then again, then again, then again. Each one hitting the shield in a tight group.[/b]

Not stopping whenever an arrow hit his shield, JJ is upon Tesuto by now. From around his shield, JJ throws out a quick stab, and then he comes out from behind the shield, delivering a ferocious diagonal slash going from Tesuto's right shoulder, to his left hip.

[b]Both hits land, and the stab enters Tesutos chest briefly before he is cut form shoulder to hip, making him fall to his knees as blood sprays from his body and across the ground. He falls to the ground, lifelessly. [/b]

"Oh, shit! You still have an organic body!" JJ drops his weapons, and checks Tesuto's pulse as he attempts to drag Tesuto back to his ship, where a cutting-edge medbay lies in wait:

[b]The body suddenly explodes into blue lines of code and variables, harmlessly. The blue lines flow across the ground like a stream towards the dojo, and up its wall. Then, the lines move and create a familiar red figure at the gate.[/b]
