Hello #OffTopic, as you may or may not know, I'm aspiring to be an Astrophysicist. I've done this sort of thread once before, and it turned out to be pretty popular, so I figured I'd do it again seeing how school is starting up soon.
I absolutely love teaching people about physics and astronomy, and I know many of you are very interesting in these topics, because let's face it, we're all a bunch of nerds here.
Also, I will say that I am still a student, and I don't know absolutely everything. I know a great deal more than the average joe, and I take pride in that, but I'm also not Einstein or Newton. Yet. Regardless, if I absolutely can't answer your question, I will most likely be able to point you in a good direction for you to find the answer.
Lastly, I won't do your homework for you. I can explain a concept or maybe give you some clarification on a confusing topic, however your homework is your responsibility, and it is important that you do it so you understand it.
So ask me anything!

Edited by Jasondurgen: 9/1/2016 10:56:10 PMDo you happen to know the ratio for life harboring systems to non-life harboring systems (within the Milky Way)? Also, do you agree with Hawkings statement that even if we find intelligent life, if it is more advanced than ours we will be either destroyed or enslaved?
It's kinda astronomy lol
